The hut is away from the main road and from people so it is private and quiet. The host Kirsten was available via WhatsApp to provide support when needed - she promptly provided answers to queries when we arrived at the hut. The hut is rustic and to our taste but it may not be for customers who are use to a chalet / hotel experience. We had our dogs with us so this place is perfect as it was easy access to woods and no one should be near the hut without reason. It is in the middle of 2 good ski resorts giving one a good choice for skiing. There are 2 good restaurants above and below the hut, and plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the nearby towns.
There isn't much we didn't like rather there are some inconveniences that customers should be aware off so that their expectations are met. The hut is 1/3 up a mountain road and accessed via a trail going back down the side of the mountain. There is a sign pointing you to the hut but if you arrive after a snow blizzard, you will not see the sign. After heavy snow, and if the trail to the hut is NOT cleared, you cannot get close to the hut if you don't have a car with 4x4 with good / new winter tires. The walk down the first part of the trail to the hut can be challenging if it is icy. There are some minor items in the hut that need repair but these didn't affect us as we are not self important customers.

Fantastic location with amazing views. Welcomed by nice warm fires on our arrival to apartments. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful on the lead up to our stay and especially helpful after we left something behind on our departure. Would absolutely recommend a stay at Zauberhuette - naturally charming apartments, great hosts, a gem of a restaurant at the bottom of the track below the hut and waking up to a wonderful sunrise spreading along the valley below.
Definitely should have stayed more than one night- but that was our mistake

Location, rustic, private and dog friendly.
The path to the hut is seriously dangerous when it is icy. You cannot get your car to the hut unless it is 4x4 or with chains when there is a lot of snow or ice.
