Exactly what we needed as we were travelling down to bath for a wedding so needed somewhere close by to sleep off the al

Perfect just what we needed

The place was a little on the unclean side. Nothing too bad, just the shower was a little unclean with used soap and the floor was dirty with dead crane flies in the kitchen. But overall comfy and homely.

The 2 small electric heaters in the living room and bedroom did not work. They came on for 5 minutes then switched off.

Comfortable stay.

Good location to base ourselves for travelling around the region, you do need a car. Nice and quiet. V comfortable bed, good facilities well equipped kitchen, decent TV with apple, Amazon, netflix, iPlayer etc. handy for winding down before bed.

Parking could be challenging in the evening as spaces tended to be all taken. One very small dissatisfaction was getting one toilet roll between 2 of us for 6 nights. The info pack stated there would be no more provided. Presumably you'd get the same if you were staying one night? We came from abroad so hadn't factored in having to go to the supermarket for loo roll. First time staying anywhere when this provision hasn't allowed for extra for the number of nights stayed. Seemed rather mean. Washing machine available but there's a charge to use it.

Not the ideal stay

Lovely location, really easy to find, Incredibly quiet at night. Lovely people staying there. Welcoming feel to the place. Pretty location, neat and tidy outdoor areas. Field for the dog to stretch his legs. Farm feel with the chickens wondering about which was lovely to see. Parking on site BBQ's you can use, which is a great option to have. Great location for nearby walks. Ideal if just using as a base between other plans. Host very responsive to any questions I had beforehand.

Everyone is different, and this is just my opinion.. Very basic. Parking on site ,but if you aren't spacially aware, then you may struggle. Host would advise though i'm sure if you were worried about where else you could park. Attention to detail with the cleaning/housekeeping wasn't brilliant. For instance the cutlery was dirty and the duvet cover had a couple of holes in. The fridge must of had something spilt in it and not cleaned very well as it smelt. Bed uncomfortable but others may find it perfectly ok. I'm just used to a different mattress. Visited in the heatwave, it was unbearably hot and impossible to cool the place down. But the owners can't control the weather of course. We didn't stay the 2 nights as it was just too hot and uncomfortable for myself and my dog.I had brought a fan with me, but we left after 1 night. They had tried to cool it down as the doors and window were open when I arrived, but that didn't do anything to help cool it down,in fact, it probably made it worse. Would have been nice to have a blind in the bedroom that blocked out light. Opposite cottage had an outdoor light on all night.

Over all satisfactioy with stay.

It was convenient for what we wanted for travel.

We did not like that it looked tired and well used ie curtains was not hanging well also they was very long on the floor which is a danger you could trip over them and the the fridge was not clean and the ice box was frozen so could not use it.

The location was beautiful.

It would have been nice to meet the host. The previous occupants hadn't washed up particularly well, dirty cup and cutlery. There were a half eaten packet of crisps and sweets in the kitchen cupboard. The wall around the door in the bathroom would benefit from a wipe down.

NOT HAPPY

Location was best bit for where we wanted to go

. Not being met by host to tell to tell us where key was . Bed was basic and uncomfortable and loads of do's and don't. Wanted a relaxing weekend with peace and quiet but on Sunday there was noisy building work .

A very nice stay in a lovely location.

We stayed in swallow cottage. very peaceful location .A well equipped cottage. Easy to travel to Shaftesbury a couple of miles away.

The only thing really was the mattress was very soft for our liking and the metal bed frame squeaked on the one side every time you turned over. But this would not stop us coming back in the future.

Excellent place to stay

What a beautiful relaxing place to stay . Within a few minutes drive to Shaftesbury . Close to other places to visit. Cosy and well appointed . Very comfy bed. We will definitely come again. Our host was very friendly and welcomed us, she was there if there was a problem but was not intrusive . Lovely place to stay.
