It was three unforgettable days at Château de la Chapelle! A truly atmospheric hotel set in a beautiful historic château, with stunning views, a lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi, delicious breakfasts, and an absolutely fantastic chef’s dinner on the terrace. A huge thank you to the entire team and the owner for the exceptional service! The whole staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and professional - we haven’t experienced such a high level of service in a long time. A special thank you to Lucia for making our stay even more special.
If I had to mention a few things that could be improved, they would only be small details. A blackout curtain would have been nice, as the morning sunlight came through the window and woke us up a little earlier than planned. Our room was next to the billiard room, and the beautiful old doors - which I imagine are almost as old as the château itself - did let quite a lot of sound through. Perhaps in the future, they could be replaced with better sound-insulated doors while keeping the beautiful historic style of the château. A few more clothes hangers (around 4–6) in the wardrobe would also be useful, as well as a small shelving unit or étagère for personal belongings. I think this would be especially appreciated by guests who need a little extra space for their things. But honestly, the biggest regret is that we stayed for too short a time! Next time, I would definitely book at least three or four days to fully enjoy this beautiful place and explore more of the picturesque surrounding area.

We liked very much the rural location, a perfect stay over on our route, and loved the charming historic aspect of the buildings and yard. The friendly welcome and kind assistance with the luggage was so appreciated to a spacey 3 room set up with lovely view across the meadow.
Next time we’ll strongly request a walk in shower. The bath- tub arrangement was not so easy.

Very good restaurant, kind and helpful staff. Lush and green surroundings and good size pool with view of the chateau - perfect to escape the heatwave! We did one night flanking and one night in the main building, both were very comfortable.
As arrived early in the season, I suspect they were perhaps slightly overwhelmed by a full house due to the heatwave. Also, despite it being a long weekend the property facilities closed mid-day on Monday while it was clear several guests had planned to stay over the day to enjoy the facilities. Also, it would have been nice with some umbrellas by the pool and a few more sunbeds as they ran out (but perhaps that is taken var eod now closer in the season).

The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was great.
Very much a restaurant first, hotel second. Main focus was trying to host us for dinner and breakfast, although my partner is vegetarian and it only catered for meat eaters. Was not told about any of the facilities, which is why we chose the hotel. We went to inspect ourself, grass was not maintained and the sauna and hot tub were off so unable to use. Wasn’t keen on chancing the pool on how clean it was. We didn’t eat but we did go to their bar/reception area. Classic cocktails not on offer, just their menu of traditional cocktails with a slight twist and an extra price tag… Room was not serviced over the two nights we stayed there. Worn towels were provided, one with small holes in. Major downfall is that you can hear everything in neighbouring guests room. Although the castle walls are thick, the old wooden doors don’t fully close and therefore we could hear guests moving around and talking very clearly. Also very disappointed to be recommended a taxi who charged us 50€ for a ten minute journey. We were told he was local, but when he asked for the money he said it was because he came from Leige… felt very misled.
