Klockaregården i Högsrum

Det var så roligt att bo i ett historiskt hus med utsikten över Högrums kyrka och kvarnen på andra sidan. Läget är centralt, det var bekvämt att köra till alla mål, 15 minuter till Borgholm och Köpingsvik och 2 minuter till ICA Rälla. Bra att huset ligger inte tätt intill väg 136, så det var lugnt, tyst och lantligt. Det finns en stor gård med trädgårdsmöbler och boulebana. Jättetrevliga värdar!

Det enda vi saknade var diskmaskinen som gick sönder precis innan vår vistelse.

Läget, storleken och bra utrustat. Tänk, nästan en hel bygdegård för oss själva!

Äldre standard som skulle behöva lite uppfräschning. Men rent och trevligt.

Öland is beautiful and by that, it encourages to be forgiving to found deficiencies of the housing. On the very positive side is the excellent location, i.e. close to everything and simultaneously very calm and not crowded.

The biggest issue I see is that the description of the property doesn’t match the actual status. The description tells about the “apartment with kitchen”. In reality, what you get is the apartment on the second floor of the big gathering place capable to host up to 100 people events. The kitchen is not your private one, but a part of this facility. The kitchen is scaled to this capacity. More or less, imagine the school canteen’s kitchen - that is it. We got it not too clean and fresh either. What is also worth for the guest to keep in mind is that you don’t know what will you get: it may happen one night you end up neighboring a big celebration, or another day - some meeting. It all is not explained in the description at all. It is not obvious at the moment you book your stay either, whether you will be lucky to be alone in whole place or will have to share it with some major or less major event. The bedroom is quite ok, while the living room is kind of messy having corners occupied by storage of some belongings of the facility downstairs.
