Antico Palazzo

Camera molto bella, pulita, silenziosa e curatissima. Posizione favolosa, con parcheggio libero e gratuito a due passi. Una location perfetta per una visita a Mondovì e dintorni.

Location is beautiful in old city on the top of the hill. We came before the check in time but host has done check in over the phone with a very clear instruction how to get the keys and find the room. She even made a video instruction so it was easy, When we entered the room we realized we actually had exactly the same room some years ago. Room doesn't have an AC but the building is built in such a way that it retains the constant temp even when outside is too hot. There was a fan we used at night and it was quite enough for a good night sleep. There is a kettle and some croissants for a welcome snack free of charge, there is a fridge in the room, coffee cups nicely presented with coffee, sugar and tea sachets.

The parking is 5 minutes walking from the property into one of the one way streets from the square where there is a free overnight parking next to the walls of the street buildings. Sometimes it is a longer walk if you don't find a place at the beginning of the street, but most cars are not parked permanently there so if you wait for a while eventually someone closer will leave. There is a nice bar at the beginning of the street where you can sit outside and have a cappuccino or some ice-cream or a drink while you waiting. But there is one important catch regarding parking closer to the property (if you don't speak or read Italian). When you arrive through the very narrow street to the reception (at the corner of the piazza), you will see perfect spot for parking in front of the property building. There is the reason why it is always free of cars. The whole square (piazza) is under police video camera surveillance and the sign next it in Italian say this, and also warn you they will send you a fine if you park there. Lucky we were told by a local about this and we moved our car immediately. But from a couple of car places away there is a parking area which according to sign you are allowed to park there but only till afternoon (I think it was after 6 PM or 7 PM you have to leave). It was enough time and distance to unload the car and to load it back on again next morning when we leave. If you know this then this is not a problem, and this is not a property fault. This is just a small inconvenience you have to pay for being in an old town with authentic Italian buildings and streets.

Il parcheggio non è vicinissimo, ma è gratuito ed e piacevole passeggiare per Mondovì mentre arrivi in camera

L'endroit est très beau, les voutes et la deco de la chambre superbe. Sur la place idéalement situé en face des restaurants et du funiculaire. Francesca très sympa au telephone qui nous a guidé pour récupérer les clés dans la petite boite a cet effet. Je recommander pour un séjour plus long et apprécier les alentours !

Cependant pas de café a disposition pour le matin (pour l'italie c'est etrange !) et surtout, pas de savon ! nous somme arrivées tard et pas de possibilité d'acheter le soir dans une boutique. Pas idéal apres 4h de route pour arriver sur place.
