Le Mongolfiere

Nicely furnished room in an old building in Mondovi's historic upper town. Our room had magnificent views - we planned our stay to be there on a weekend morning so that we could set our alarms for dawn, to watch hot air balloons rising and sailing over the valley below from our little balcony - a beautiful sight. The mattress was very comfortable - but we would suggest that alternatives to the firm/hard pillows should be available. Very clean, with a communal fridge and coffee/tea point, both of which were much appreciated.

It would have been helpful to have been told in advance that the funicular railway, essential for easy access, was closed for planned maintenance - there was a bus alternative, but we had to find information on times and pick-up points ourselves.

Mondoví is a hidden gem in the beautiful countryside of northern Italy! The apartment is spacious and includes a view of the valley. There was plenty of apace for my family of 4 to spread out and fully relax. Communications with the hose were easy and responsive. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The only negative about our stay wasn’t necessarily the fault of anyone. But, simply the adventure of staying in a small town. There are several roads that require you to use extreme caution to avoid your mirrors from hitting the walls on either side! The apartment is in the mountains, so be prepared for steep walks up to the town square and back down to the apartment.

In questa estate torrida l’assenza del condizionatore, sostituito da un ventilatore, ovviamente non così efficace
