Vintage glamping Airstream with Farm Animals

We stayed for 4 nights during our daughter's graduation and enjoyed our stay at Mark & Kat's airstream. It was a nice, cosy and quiet retreat which suited us perfectly. The interior was exceptionally clean with lot's of storage places and a decent sized wardrobe. The gas hob and oven were great with piping hot water for the sink alongside. We had all the utensils we needed plus lots of extras like milk, seasonings, fairy liquid, loo roll and delicious scones with jam & cream. The bed was comfortable and there were fresh towels and a T towel. The wet room is great with a decent shower and, as long as you take Mark's advice to turn it off while you 'soap up', there is plenty of hot water. The dogs were super friendly and the other animals were fun to watch including the two mischievous sheep who shared our outside space! The decking area with it's big canopy was fabulous in the sunshine while the inside was cosy and dry when the rain lashed down. Mark & Kat were lovely and we would certainly visit again!

The airstream is looking a tad tired inside and would benefit from a little upgrade to the curtains and cushions to give it back the wow factor that the photos promise. They are the same furnishings as in the photos but actually detract rather than enhance unfortunately. A big let down was the lack of cushions for the bench seating on the decking. The sumptuous looking ones in the photos are no longer in use. Kat did find some thin pads for us to sit on but they were ill fitting and not that great. I couple of deckchairs/recliners would have really elevated what is already a great space! Unfortunately we could not get the airstream door to lock so we did take our valuables with us for peace of mind although this was probably just us being over cautious. One final point is that the dogs do all jump up at the car each time you arrive so I had to jump out quickly, almost before stopping, so that they jumped up at me instead of the car, thereby saving the paintwork! Please note: they are just being super friendly and were incredibly well behaved in every other way.

Location was fair, but positioned not far away from a Major Road, which gets quite busy during certain times of the day. This, also makes entering and exiting to the long drive -way leading to the site quite hazardous. Noise from the traffic was unexpected, and disturbed the tranquility one would have expected from such a lovely natural location. The natural sounds of birds were sometimes washed out by the sound of passing traffic. What I had expected was a more tranquil and peaceful setting even though I knew before hand we were next to a road. The sound of the Cockerel waking me up at dawn was a pleasant and natural surprise.

Lovely caravan, very relaxed place to stay, friendly animals, great hosts. Plenty to do nearby.
