Grande chambre avec une belle terrasse pour profiter du coucher du soleil. On peut aussi y dîner, il y a un petit frigo dans la chambre. Jennifer connaît par cœur l’histoire de son île et la partage avec plaisir Elle a réservé pour nous un super restaurant : La Murène, ainsi qu’une excursion bateau parfaite

Aucune décoration : quelques affiches de l’île permettraient sa mise en valeur et apporteraient plus de chaleur à cette maison Des yaourts ou des fruits au petit-déjeuner seraient un plus pour nous, européens

The accommodation is nice and quiet, in a secure environment. There is a construction site of new houses opposite the accommodation, but that did not bother us. It is essential to have your own car. Breakfasts were basic (same every day with minimal differences), but okay. There is also air conditioning and a refrigerator in our room (contrary to previous comments).

I don't usually criticize accommodation without need, but in this case I have to write a few critical words. Jennifer was very friendly and generous with information at the beginning, but unfortunately things soon changed. Breakfast was scheduled for 8:30, which seemed a bit late to us, considering that it is already fully daylight at 6:00. After two days, my wife and I expressed our desire to have breakfast an hour earlier (at 7:30). Jennifer did oblige, but with a few sarcastic remarks the next morning which surprised us very unpleasantly. Since then, Jennifer has also stopped communicating with us, or was limited to a few essential words a day (good morning and good night). So the feeling of staying was not the most relaxed. When we left (after eight days), she told us once again that breakfast at her place is at 8:30 and nothing else. The passage from the room through the host's apartment is also a bit unpleasant (if you have to go in and out several times). We think the host should be more aware that tourists mostly don't come to Mauritius to be in their rooms by 9 a.m (except those in all-inclusive resorts). Due to the very heavy traffic, it is wise or necessary to leave the room earlier if you want to get to the point you chose to visit that day (especially if you choose hiking).
