York Cocoa Suites - city centre apartments

This was our second time staying in the York Cocoa Suites and we loved it again. Each time we have been in a different suite, so no matter which one you get they are all lovely. The check in pack with instructions on codes to get in etc made it really easy. The rooms are spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The city centre is only a short walk away and although there isn’t parking included, there is lots very nearby.

Fantastic location, close to amenities. Great layout, with separate living area and bedroom. It was very comfortable and an ideal base for our holiday in York.

Nothing negative to say about the property.

Apartment is close to City but far enough to not be kept awake until the early hours. Apartment well equipped. Block is like Fort Knox - no staff / security but for anyone to get in, they'd have to know a minimum of 2 door codes.

Complex entry code, main door instructions not clear, many other people struggling too. Flat was dusty, shutters in bedroom and lounge were covered in dust. Single glazed windows - people walking past regularly - sometimes late at night or first thing in the morning - able to hear full discussion which often woke us up.

Great location and easily accessible.

Wasn’t to a great standard of cleanliness; Mold present in parts of the bathroom, drinking glasses weren’t cleaned properly, evidence of previous guests discovered (old dusty sleeping mask found under the bed) The bed wasn’t very comfortable and there was a gap between the top of the mattress and the headboard (resulted in the pillows falling down it several times). There was a strange rhythmic buzzing sound audible at night. I ended up with a headache and struggled to sleep on both nights (this may have been originating from outside the property?).
