About this house rental
Large open living space with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. Great room concept with pass through from dining area to the completely remodeled kitchen. Kitchen has breakfast bar seating for 5 and views of the creek in addition to solid surface countertops, stainless steel appliances and stocked kitchen. Two bedrooms with queen size beds and two bathrooms. The master bath is completely remodeled to include dual shower heads in the walk in shower. Large upright soaking tub in the second bathroom is jetted. The property is one unit of a duplex and has a 1 car garage stall available and parking for 2 vehicles plus it is walking distance to Downtown, Westchester Lagoon and the Coastal Trail. A short distance to many of downtown and midtowns best restaurants and shopping and on the bus route. Easy access to miles of Greenbelt which extends to the APU/University trail systems and the Coastal Trail. Valley of the Moon Park is on the other side of the creek from this property and there is a playground for the little explorers. The Chester Creek Greenbelt is lighted and groomed for biking, skiing and walking in the winter and perfect for leisurely strolls in the summer and evenings. Watch salmon travel up the creek and immerse yourself in nature with the abundance of natural habitat surrounding you.

Great place with a well stocked kitchen and a a great layout for socializing or chilling out. The attached garage is so convenient. The location is FANTASTIC the walking/biking trail is at your front door along the Chester Creek trail to downtown or connecting to the Coastal Trail where we saw Sandhill Cranes on our one hour round trip walk.

A very comfortable house that provided everything we needed for an easy stay--well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with lots of good pillows, plenty of towels. Kitchen is particularly nice. Seems very recently renovated. Great room is very large with attractive living room furniture and a huge dining room table.

We were in town for a wedding with our two kids. John was very accommodating and extremely kind.

This Chester Creek Gem was our "Home Away from Home" over the Christmas Holidays with our family; when we returned to Alaska to spend Christmas with our children and grandchildren. From our first contact with host, John O'Hara, we were impressed by his warmth, responsiveness, availability, gracious and congenial willingness to go over and above to make or stay a very memorable holiday. He even provided and set up a beautifully decorated lovely Christmas Tree before our arrival! This home is warm, sits on a lovely creek, and is beautifully furnished, impeccably clean, and the amenities are thoughtful and detailed from the the sparkling kitchen, to comfortable beds, extra bedding, and blankets. We were able to easily prepare family meals for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Everything we needed was at hand. in the kitchen. The bathrooms are detailed, with thoughtful extra bathroom amenities and great towels!.
This property is very conveniently located midway between downtown and mid-town Anchorage, along Chester Creek. Our small grandchildren loved watching the ducks along the creek! We would definitely engage this home again. Thank you John for a very merry and memorable Christmas!!
