Queen Victoria Museum, Boags Brewery, Utas Stadium and award winning Harvest Market (on every Saturday morning). Drive a little further out of Launceston and you'll soon be in the famous Tamar Valley region, offering world class wine and food. Head in the other direction and you'll find yourself in the historic villages of Evandale or Longford.

While the house was old, lovely and in a nice area, the condition of the home was not great, LOTS of cobwebs in just about every room, bath tub would not hold water, 2 of of the 3 bedroom ceiling lights did not work and the windows were painted shut in the ensuite bathroom. Also the provided washing machine seals were mouldy and left our clothes smelling musty, as well as the laundry being very dirty and somewhat cluttered.

The art deco house was a clean, very spacious and comfortable base from which to explore Launceston. Parking was not ideal as the driveway was unusable, necessitating parking on the very narrow roadway.

Whilst this is a beautiful home, we all agreed that it lacked some TLC. A draw in the bathroom had no bottom in it, shelves in the en-suite bedroom collapsed when used and our bed collapsed overnight in the second bedroom.
It was also a pity that we were not permitted to use the fireplace.
