Basin Road Guesthouse

The location was great. A very short 2 minute walk to the Gorge. The park there was great for the kids to have a run around and we did the short lap over the suspension bridge a number of times, which my kids loved.

There were really no problems other than some very minor things. We could not connect to the internet or turn TVs on when we arrived. When we contacted the owner it originally felt like we were being blown off, but then we were able to resolve this and there were no issues. The tap in the kitchen has a fairly significant leak, this was not conveyed as the concern was that our original messages were interpreted as complaints rather than just seeking help.

Gorgeous house, lovely and responsive hosts - amazing location. Unfortunately we only booked for 1 week, only downside.

Only fault, if you could even call it that, is that the kitchen didn’t have a coffee machine (for those coffee addicts like me) or a baking pan. However, we did use their coffee plunger and we got over not making a cake pretty quickly.

Within steps of main entrance to Cataract Gorge and walking trails. Warm ,cosy house with lots of light. Fantastic summer kitchen in the garden for outside entertaining. Very roomy. The kitchen was well appointed and terrific bathroom shower.

Great BBQ entertaining area under cover with heating. Well stocked kitchen, everything nice and clean Very close to the park and cable car

Another bathroom would have been a bonus rather than one and a half.
