Clean and warm apartment with good kitchen (fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob, bean coffee machine), balconies, TVs, large comfy beds, good sofabed, 3 loos, a bath with shower attachment, a shower unit, key in lockbox. Owners contacted us asking about anything we needed such as sheet/towel changes, supplied extra loo roll and a bottle opener.

Not "ski to door" (other than you could carry skiis to the door) - had to take (v reasonably priced) bus to get to slopes. Some maintenance issues such as: coffee machine milk attachment broken, doorbell broken, TV remotes had batteries exposed, lighting switches seemed odd (two switches next to each other to turn on 1 light in one case, many switches overall), bath glass shower "guard" leaked onto floor (no seal to bath), a bathroom doorframe piece was loose. Suspect previous guests had not been very careful in a number of respects - nothing that would take too long for hosts to fix. Could have done with a "welcome pack" explaining extra charges for spa, pool, showing bus timetable, shops, recommending restaurants, where to take trash to, etc. ... on entry floor (from back) was a sign to "spa, pool, club" which just led to an empty reception area - another entry floor at front had patchy access to our floor. Lift nearest apartment was out of order. Real Silver Mountain reception in another building often seemed to not be very welcoming as this private apartment is not part of the "Excelsus" floor.

-location is great, very quiet and in the middle of the nature -the apartment is big and clean -the apartment is well equipped with some exceptions (e.g. no wine opener, no hair dryer)

-check-in process was messy: I called the phone number specified by the owner in the morning but nobody answered. The check-in is specified as after 16:00, when doing the booking I wrote we'll arrive between 14:00-15:00. However we arrived 16:30 just to be sure only to find out the administrator was not aware of the booking. I called the administrator (I had the phone in my email from the reservation), he said will check and hang-up the phone on me. I called back and he said the room will be ready in 1 hour. after 1hour he sends another message that it will be ready in 30 min. A simple "sorry" or something like that would have been much appreciated but total silence. -NO instructions of ANY kind about the property: we had to figure our by ourselves where to take out the garbage (there is no service, this is not a hotel, you rent an apartment from the owner and have to take care of everything, don't expect any room cleaning). I have rented apartments/houses multiple times and always I have found some instructions with everything you need to know about the place and surroundings. -Pool access is not included, it costs extra and it's not cheap (125RON for 3 hours). Plus, the outside pool was closed for maintenance, none of this was specified in the booking. -missing some basic things like hair dryer, wine opener
