A well appointed cottage in a great location for exploring Dartmoor. in one word Brilliant!
An excellent property, right in the centre of Chagford, one has to note though that there is no parking outside the cottage, though roadside parking is fairly close to the property. The cottage has everything you could possibly want in it, It was warm and cosy throughout our stay.
I found that the double bed upstairs and chairs in the lounge area were rather too low for me, that said though they were extremely comfortable. The lighting could be improved for reading in the evenings, as the lights just weren't bright enough.

Open plan living space on ground floor. Fabulous bathroom.
The beds. The main bedroom bed was overly firm and sagged in the middle. I have never before been defeated by a bed but it was impossible to sleep on the bed in the second bedroom as there was zero give in the mattress. I drove home to pick up a camping bed and slept on that instead. Please replace the mattresses!

Good location to base yourself for a walking holiday.
The location is excellent. Right in the heart of Chagford.
Some of the furniture is looking a little worn. There is poor lighting in the living area so not really possible to read there. Some of the areas need cleaning a little better - e.g. blanket on bed had other peoples' hairs on it! The mattresses in the 2nd bedroom need replacing. Very thin and uncomfortable.

Beautiful house. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds n cosy living space.
No reflection on owners and dont let it put you off ths amazing place but some guidance on parking - its isnt very clear what the rules are in parts of that road so suggest drop stuff off then park down road near school. Thats normal for dartmoor villages.
