Perfect staycation and relaxing

Swans' Landing was a delightful place to stay in the heart of Chagford. The property is a first floor apartment with an art gallery underneath. The sittingroom and kitchen have lovely views of the town square. There is a good sized kitchen, and the bedroom and sitting room were pleasantly spacious. The bed was really comfortable. Unusually, the noise of the church bells was muffled by other buildings, so not a problem even though the church is close! I really liked the decor and furnishings which were comfortable and tasteful. It wasn't bland and sterile like a lot of holiday lets are now and it felt homely. It was also perfectly clean. I would definitely like to stay there again.

Improvements could be made to the shower, which is just one which runs off the bath taps. I didn't quite understand the double bunk beds but I liked sleeping in the bottom one which had curtains which felt like I was sleeping in an Elizabethan 4 poster! Fun. It was hard to keep the windows open in the sitting room. This is an apartment so you do sometimes here people moving about in the rooms above. None of these things were major inconveniences though.

Fantastic location right on the square in Chagford. Lots of space and really cosy.

Very comfortable with a fantastic Christmas Tree.

No frying pan, but otherwise all good. 👍
