I stayed here for one week and the apartment itself was warm, clean, and equipped with everything I needed. The location was quiet and convenient, and once inside the upper-floor apartment, the space felt comfortable and well maintained. The rooms were cozy, and overall the living area was pleasant during my stay.
The listing is misleading in several important ways. This is not a house and not a penthouse, but an apartment located on the upper floor of a building. The photos create the impression of a private garden connected to the terrace, but this is not true. The grass shown in the pictures is actually behind the property and not part of the terrace. The terrace is upstairs next to the rooms, and when you enter the building, there are four other rooms on the lower floor that are also rented out.
The key collection instructions were confusing. I was told to go behind the yard to find a safe box, but there were six different boxes and I had to check them one by one to find the correct one.
Another major issue was the £200 security deposit. This was not mentioned anywhere before booking. I only received this information after I had already paid, at a point when cancellation was no longer refundable. This should be clearly stated in the listing.
I also had trouble accessing the WiFi. I had to message the host, and I only received the code the next day. The WiFi password and house rules were hidden inside a folder placed on a nightstand, with no indication that such a folder existed.
Overall, the apartment itself was fine, but the listing photos and information are misleading, and future guests should be aware of these details before booking.

Great location next to Peasholm Park & within close proximity to North Bay. Nice amount of space & well equipped.
1. No way to cool the apartment - could do with fans / Aircon (we stayed in another place in Seamer just before which had three tower fans in the property).
2. Door hook in en-suite broken - nowhere to hang towel
3. Curtains very cheap, curtain rails very basic - hard to open and close - had to stretch right up to reach top of curtains - short people would struggle
4. Curtains don’t block out light - need lining
5. No salt in the salt cellar - frustrating as we only discovered this when sitting down to our meal
6. No response to request to extend booking / parking

Spotlessly clean. Lovely decor. Great location. Comfy furniture and beds. I would highly recommend.
There wasnt a thing I didn't like about this beautiful apartment.
