Suite G303 at Mara Laguna Gold Standard Certified

Staff were fantastic at keeping grounds well manicured. The pool was beautiful and always clean. It was a great place to have a happy hour and catch up with other guest's.

Would definitely not recommend the village store that was across the street. Very rude and 100% rip you off, the first evening of arriving we were ripped off by at least $50 US dollars, of course we didn't realize it until we went to other stores for grocery supplies. They don't ring anything in they just randomly gave us a number in Belizian dollars. I at first thought the guy had great math skills, but absolutely not. Avoid at all costs.

The location was perfect! It was just outside of the hustle and noise of the city but there was a grocery store and farmers market across the street and a very short ride (maybe 5 minutes from our parking spot) in the golf cart to the city. The complex itself was beautifully landscaped and the apartment/condo was roomy and very comfortable. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a large living area, dining area and kitchen. The balcony was enormous with plenty of seating and sliding doors in every room to go out. Even our own little laundry room just outside the front door. Gineli, our concierge, was super sweet and made me feel like we were old friends. The security staff at the gate always greeted us when we left and when we came back and were super helpful if we had any questions. We especially loved seeing Fluffy, the 10 ft resident crocodile, when she would sun herself on the shore of the lagoon. We never saw her baby up close but saw him in the water. It’s hard when you’ve never been someplace to book a place online to stay while you’re visiting but this was just the perfect place for us. Close to everything and just super comfortable.

We would have loved if all of the screen doors would have been usable-two were and my son was able to install them in place to take advantage of the wonderful island breeze- but that’s just being super nit picky. There really is nothing I can think of that we didn’t like about the property.

The. location is out of the town and closer to Secret Beach.

The traffic noise and construction noise. The living room furniture was not comfortable.

there may be a problem with roaches…we found a couple lol I guess because we started cooking they smelled the food and decided to come out
