Ohliving Cathedral

The apartment's modern amenities were exactly as described in all the reviews. The rooms were appointed well, and the space was very good for a family of four. The bathrooms were generally clean, and the shower had good pressure but occasionally had fluctuating temperature issues when both showers were in use. The air conditioning was very good but took some time to get going. Finally, the washer worked as expected and the host provided laundry pods, which was a great touch.

I couldn't give the place a 9+ because there were numerous issues during the 2-night stay that showed that attention to detail was a little off. For example, when we arrived in the evening, the AC was not turned on, and it was very hot in the apartment. Only after an after-hours call to the emergency number did I get the AC working, but it took all night to get to a good temperature. Normally, I would expect the host to turn on the AC before a guest's arrival time. Additionally, I discovered that one of the bathroom sinks was leaking into a drawer, the toilet flusher was not working well, and one of the lights in the bathroom ceiling had burnt out. Once I informed the host, he immediately said a person would be sent that day to fix the problems, which they did. These issues again were something the host could have discovered before my arrival and corrected. Finally, some of the instructions on how to use the amenities (Wi-Fi, AC, door locks, where to take the trash out, etc.) were 90% right, but that missing 10% proved irritating to figure out on my own. In all cases, when I identified the issues, the host was on top of them and fixed them, which is something all the reviews mentioned you should do. Finally, I would like to emphasize that all the reviews are 100% accurate in saying that street noise is a problem for the bedroom facing the street. You can hear the 8am facility trucks and loud talkers walking down the street. I would also mention that we had the unfortunate luck of a big renovation next door to the apartment where workers were removing construction materials from the job site at 7am. I think this construction will be completed by Fall 2026. If you are a light sleeper, go to the bedroom at the back, as most of that noise doesn't travel that far back to that bedroom.
