About this cottage rental
Thatched Studio that has everything you could need, homely, cozy, with plenty of space. Kite surfer & surfer friendly since it's located close to popular spots along the West Coast but everyone is welcome. Based in a secure neighborhood close to 'blue flag' beach. It has it's own private entrance and is well equipped for self-catering purposes. It has a patio area which looks out over the pool and garden. There is also a desk/workspace for short business trips.
The space is comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. We also have a hot tub/jacuzzi which can be used for an extra charge as it uses quite a bit of electricity. The back sliding door walks out onto a beautiful garden and rock swimming pool. Your home away from home. Close to all shops and restaurants and a nice 10 minute stroll down to the beach.

Everything went smoothly after the initial change of date, and we have had a very comfortable three week stay with our own little house to retreat to between family get togethers. The Thatched Lapa is private, comfortable, and well equipped, with a sheltered deck for relaxing by the beautiful tropical garden. Vicki and Ian are good hosts, and left us a very generous starter kit of food on our arrival.
There is a small rock pool, which is picturesque, but don’t count on using it as it’s obviously quite complicated to uncover. Ossie the dog is friendly and will push off if you don’t encourage him. Unfortunately there are many noisy dogs in the area, some of which appeared to have been left alone during the holiday period, so there was regular early morning howling!
We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. No more than 10 minutes walk, once we found the footpath short cuts. The coast, shops, restaurants, and Miciti bus are all within very easy reach, and Melkboss is a useful little place with lots of neighbourhood amenities.
Plenty of advice available from Ian on good places to surf but we decided it was better as a spectator sport.
