The apartment has an outstanding view of Table Mountain; the beach is a short walk away and the main beachfront (with restaurants etc.) is a short drive away.
We found the apartment clean and comfortable. It has one bathroom and is suitable 4 people.
It is tiled throughout so could be chilly in winter, however there is an indoor braai.

Our hosts communicated upon booking and confirmed closer to the time. Communication was clear and detailed and our hosts were very friendly via text as well as in person. The flat is next to the main house so the hosts were nearby if we needed anything, but it has its own driveway, secure garage parking, and entry way so it is entirely private and secluded. Very peaceful, well kept and clean!
The flat is well equipped with a fully operational kitchen to cook at home, the rooms are bright and comfortable, and the indoor braai is a great feature. Table mountain and the beach can be seen from the flat - beautiful at sunset - and it's less than 5 minute walk to the soft white sand of the beach which was almost always quite empty so it felt like a private spot.
The neighbourhood is quiet and residential, but there is a little supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. There is also a small coffee shop there which serves a good brunch. A five minute drive (or 2.5km walk along the beach) will take you to the main Melkboss shopping area where there are restaurants, coffee shops and bistros all along the beach with a larger supermarket set in a small mall on the main road. Melkboss has everything you need but is also only 40 minutes from Stellenbosch wine area and about the same from central Cape Town tourist spots.
We loved everything, however if you have mobility issues or elderly or very young children, do be aware that the house is set on an incline and has steep, tiled steps leading up to the flat.
