Villa Balos (amfimala)is a wonderful private villa.Our newly built villa offers, 4 spacious bedrooms. Our villa has a panoramic view towards the Mediterrean sea. Our guests can seat and enjoy the sunset and sunrise every morning and evening.You will be renting our private villa of 210m2 on a private plot 1.500 m2 surrounded by a garden with excotic trees,flowers,lawn and natural surrondings.Villa Balos offers a large private pool which is ideal for families and friends.Our Villa is located at Georgiopoulis. The location of the Villa is ideal for families that are looking for a relaxing holiday close to the sea and many attractions.A perfect locaction. The ideal solution for groups of friends ,families with children, weddings,or anyone seeking a private escape! Our fully equipped kitchen leads to a terrace perfectly suited for sunset moments. Villa Balos also offers LCD Plasma smartTV with a continental satellite system and WIFI wireless internet connection.You can enjoy luxury, silience, natural beauty and the combination of traditional and modern ellements,for your absolute relaxation.Our Villa consits of 4 bedrooms with private balconies facing sea view which can accomadate 10 - 12 guests, dining area, living room, fully equipped kitchen,3 bathrooms with hydromassage & all amenities, childrens playground, barbeque area where you and your guests can enjoy and prepare your meals,free parking for you and your guests, and a spacious private pool. On request the staff can be consisted of a cook. A welcome basket will wait for you on your arrival with local drinks, fruits and traditional flavours. Feel free to ask the owners everything you need (car rentals, useful tips about excursions and sightseeing). About 600m from the villa is the center of Georgioupolis where there you can find numerous shops, supermarkets, traditional markets, cafes and bars. It has a big playground for our small friends with skate park, bike lane and outdoor gym. The organized beach of Georgioupolis with the gold sand is located 500m from the villa.
Apart from sunbathing is suitable for fishing and various water sports “Kournas lake” which is about 3km from the villa. It’s the largest natural lake in Crete. You can enjoy swim in the lake, a ride of pedalo or a walk around the beautiful landscape. It is surrounded by traditional greek taverns and cafeterias and you can enjoy local flavours or your coffee with the nice view. The traditional “Rethymno city” is about 18km, while the scenic Chania city is about 30km. Souda port is accessible to 28km, “Chania airport” is 42km and “Heraklion airport” is 100km.
*The accommodation can offer 2 extra beds and a sofa is also suitable as a sofa-bed.
**We offer cleaning service every three days with charge.

The villa is wonderful, exactly as listed and the host Michael is a pleasure to deal with. The whole communication process from start to finish with him was so straightforward and he will go out of his way to help you in any way he can. Arriving to a traditional home cooked dish that was actually still warm was a lovely touch and was appreciated by us all. The views from the villa are great, mountains one side and the sea the other. The garden and pool area are lovely to spend lazy days relaxing and we made use of the bbq facilities twice too. It’s a 5-10 min walk into town but I actually enjoyed this, some of our party would get taxis back at night, these were always available and cost only 5. Spoilt for choice with restaurants in the town and I don’t think we had a bad meal once across the whole 2 weeks! Beaches are great, always a bar nearby and there is a little tourist train which runs hourly to get you to other local attractions in the area such as Lake Kournas, where we swam with turtles. If you are thinking of going to Georgioupolis and you haven’t been before l would definitely recommend it and I would also definitely recommend Michael and his villa, together they enabled us to have a brilliant family holiday. Beautiful villa in a wonderful location - views across the olive groves to the sea, with the stunning mountains behind us. Perfectly equipped and very comfortable. Michael was the best and kindest host we have ever experienced - thank you for a fantastic holiday for our two families!

This was our first time in Crete and first time staying at a villa. We had the best time ever!! The villa is so beautiful and had everything you needed. Even a full size hairdryer in the master bedroom. There was a washing machine in one of the bathrooms and a clothes line to hang. When we arrived there was a hot meal and greek salad. Fridge had juic, beer, jam, lunch meat and cheese and was fresh fruit. Just what we needed after a very long trip from Canada to get there. Michael the host was just the nicest person. He went out of his way to always make us feel welcome and we consider him our good friend now. The village of Georgioupoli is a very lovely place and the walk down is about 15 minutes. A cab home was only 5 euros. Lots of shops and restaurants and the people are the friendliest we have ever met. This place is a true gem. Thank you for everyrhing Michael and especially your friendship. We will cherish it always

We have just returned from a holiday at the beautiful villa Balos !We were a party ranging from 15 - 70 and the Villa suited everyone. It has everything you need , private and the views over the village are amazing.The village is a 10 minute walk with plenty of Tavernas and if you want to get a taxi back there are plenty and the cost 5 euro. We hired bikes from the village which were great for cycling to get fresh bread on a morning.Michalis was the perfect host and answered any questions we had. The meal on arrival was delicious and much appreciated !!He helped with transfers and organise a boat trip which was great.Would fully recommend the Villa !!! Great holiday .
