Generally roomy, clean, with good facilities. Quiet location with parking space. The provisions e.g. milk, butter, coffee were very welcome, and the home-cooked bread excellent!

The dining chairs were not very comfortable and there was no easy chair more suitable for watching television or reading. Of course, space was limited.

Rory is a fab host.

Rory is an exceptional host. Everything was clean and tidy. Easy parking and access to the buttery. It's a good base to explore the broads.

It needs somewhere cosy to sit and relax. The bed needs a topper or something to prevent the springs being felt. I had an issue with nowhere comfortable to sit. A bad back prevented me from using the hard chairs.

Lovely, private entrance and a warm welcome from the owner. Spotlessy clean - fridge freezer very handy. Also, nice little grassed area to walk the dog evenings and mornings. Very nice to be in a private space x

Maybe a small bin would be handy. We don't get many carrier bags nowadays and I forgot to have a spare with me. Bin facilities are just outside the door though.

Perfect little getaway

This is such a lovely place to stay, very convenient location, charming courtyard to relax, and the room had everything we could possibly need for a weekend away. The bed was very comfortable too! And the homemade bread Rory left for us was just *chef's kiss*. We'll definitely be back!

A great stay

A warm welcome, with lovely homemade bread and some essentials. It was lovely and quiet, being able to sit in the courtyard was a bonus at the end of long days sightseeing.

Everything. Fantastic host and accommodation. Far exceeded our expectations. What else would you like me to write.

This is not a criticism, Rory. Our room was very clean. The last guests were over a week before we stayed. Didn't bother us, but there are some picky buggers. There were a couple of cobwebs and some on the curtain rail. Sorry, but Janet watches 4 in a bed.

This lovely studio feels like our "home from home" to visit family, Rory has thought of everything.

Another great stay in this lovely little studio. Perfect for us with family a few minutes away. Rory thinks of everything. Fresh orange juice, milk, even butter and jam to accompany his gorgeous home made bread. Much appreciated.

Get stocked up with food and booze.....and lock yourself away in tranquility

I can really only echo what other people have mentioned in their reviews. The room was perfect. Very warm, exceptionally clean and well stocked and very inviting. The place is located round the back of the bungalow and is very private and quiet. If you are bringing a dog there are plenty of long walks within a couple of minutes on foot. The small town has a few shops, a couple of pubs and a variety of takeaways - again, within walking distance. Rory was very pleasant and inviting. Will most probably return again one day

Peaceful, friendly place for a short break

Lovely that some provisions were there when we arrived, specially the bread. The Castle Rory theme was entertaining. Perfect location for Norwich and the rook murmuration at Buckenham station. Very quiet location.

Washing up facilities are a washing up bowl in the bathroom, but still excellent for the price.

Excellent accomodation in beautiful Norfolk broads.

The bungalow was very cosy clean and quiet.We are regular visitors to the Buttery as we always feel relaxed and Rory is a very good host who provides some nice extras including home made bread milk orange juice jam butter and beverages.

Exceptional

Rory was the best host ever. The buttery is a comfortable and peaceful place. The bread and provisions provided were gratefully received,( the bread is awesome toasted 😋). We were traveling without our vehicle so arrived by train in Brundall. The Buttery is just a short walk from the station and pretty central to a lot of nice places in Norfolk. 10 mins from Norwich by train and 30 mins to Great Yarmouth. I'd definitely consider visiting again. Thank you Rory x

Everything was very clean and almost everything was thought of to make the stay as smooth and comfortable as possible. The mini kitchen station was a very nice touch.

Would be useful to have some bottled water to use for the kettle and to drink in general but that’s not a huge worry we just bought one easily after checking in.
