Abbey Cottage

Near to town centre, peaceful neighbourhood. Good kitchen/diner and lots of hot water.

Bath and toilet needs new sealant. Carpet in sitting room marked and no instructions for telly

Very well located and had everything we needed.

It was a little tired.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed and excellent location close to town centre and the beautiful abbey. Very cosy, well stocked kitchen, clean and spacious. Upstairs was very comfortable, good beds and bedding, shower & bath very good. We really appreciated the timeline of Shewsbury folder, and the town centre map and information leaflets. We ate at the nearby Turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. Also found the chip shop within 15 minutes walk, and the great deli for breakfast/lunch options only 2 doors away! Easy to walk into town and what a lovely town to walk around!

We dithered slightly about the location on arrival but were just not quite far enough up the street to see the green gates next as mentioned in the instructions. A man came out of the shop next door to help us with the bolt on the inside of the gate - obvious when you know! Facilities said there was an iron but we couldn't find one - not a big problem at all.

Great communication, brilliant location. Property was lovely, nice and warm and well equipped. Very quiet. The pub down the road ( The Crown ) does lovely pub food. A minutes walk to Home Bargains if you need milk on Saturday evening.

We didn’t dislike anything and would definitely stay again. Just a few little things worth mentioning! Carpet on the stairs especially was a little tired and frayed. The TV was not connected to the internet. Not a problem for us but it may be if guests need to watch TV. A bit dusty in places and the bath needs new sealant as it’s black in places. Really squeaky double bed! My sat nav had a few problems finding the car park!! Google maps found it!
