Relaxing

Fantastic location.

The lighting was poor, towels old and in need of replacement. Outside space crying out for a tidy up and a few flowers to improve the entrance. Old lock needs replacing.

100% suggestion for the ultimate medieval feeling!

We absolutely liked the location of the room. It was very calm and in the morning we were the first ones down at the lake to take pictures of the spectacular sunrise. It was all as expected and 100% looked like in the pictures (even the Christmas bed-sheets 😉). We arrived earlier than announced and it was no problem to reach the owner and got the key earlier. Although she had a broken leg (all the best for you!!).

Just a few suggestions - because all in all we were totally happy in this room! Additional lights in the entrance area would be helpful, and either additional towels or a hand towel which is bigger than a handkerchief would be the cherry on top. And please - get the lock fixed at the entrance door. It was hard work to un/lock the door.

Very memorable break in beautiful location

Location was beautiful and peaceful. Bathroom was clean and modern. Huge comfy bed. Nice touches like an umbrella which came in handy when it rained.

What a location - it was beautiful!

No signage at apartment and Booking.com map very wrong. DIRECTIONS: The apartment is within the medieval city. Walk down toward the Church, turn left into the small plaza at Church garden passing sign “Place Du Thay” straight ahead on your left is where you find it.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful spot in a pristine medieval village right on Lac Leman!!!!

This location is an absolutely amazing spot, right on the bank of Lac Leman. Yvoire is a fairly touristy spot - well-deserved since it is a pristine medieval village. But in the late afternoon after the tourists left, I felt incredibly blessed to be experiencing this gorgeous, unique spot.

I was uncertain on how to contact my host. I thought it was a hotel in Yvoire, but when I showed my airbnb listing print-out to various folks in the village, no one seemed to know where it was. There was a very generous woman in a shop who helped me connect with Christelle via phone. Then Christelle stayed on my phone with me, directing me to on how to reach her space and retrieve the keys. Since my French is not fluent, it was a bit difficult to navigate, but Christelle was very patient in staying with me - kudos to her!! I would suggest a bit more info on the listing, letting guests know this is a private home and perhaps a map guide on how to find it.

A stay in Medieval Tower in Yvoire !!

The room was much bigger than I expected. The bathroom was very nicely put and spacious. There was water, coffee machine, nice heater. The apartment has great character !! The host was very attentive (didn't meet in person but communicated through telephone.) The location was perfect, just right on the beach and is located under an ancient building. If you have been to Yvoire, chances are you may have walked pass this tower and just curious to know what it's like to stay there. Now is your chance !!!. Even though the outer building is old, the room inside and shower were done in a modern and comfortable way. We loved it.

Just that at night, there seems to be too little light. I fumbled around the room a bit. But well, perhaps I dint' turn on all the lights that the owner told me. Anyway, no big complaint.

Lovely, enjoyed commuting across the lake to Nyons / Signy and cycling around.

Loctaion amazing Breakfast is not avaialble. Lots of cafes and bars in Yvoire Both I used were excellent.

A fridge would be a nice addition. Heating was very effective but difficult to turn off...

A really outstandig place for a stay in this nice town!

Upon our arrival we called Franck, our host, who picked us up at the entrance of the town. Franck is a very easygoing, helpful person, and gave us a very warm welcome. The room is really exceptional, situated in the old medieval watch tower in a more quiet part of the town. It is excellently equipped and unveiled Francks exceptional sense for design.

The GPS routing to the place, published on booking.com leads to one of the main public parking areas out side of the town which is correct when you arrive by car. To find the tower is not difficult, but when first time in Yvoire it's better to call Frank and ask for pick up at the tourist office (which is easy to find).

WHAT A FIND! In the heart of Yvoire and on the lake!

The Location is unbelievable. Literally in the heart of the most beautiful little town of Yvoire and a few steps away from the Lake. I was blown away by the location.. The host, Franc, was so informative and so friendly and full of interesting facts regarding the town. The accommodation itself was outstanding. Modern, clean and the room was very fresh. stunning view onto the lake and a beautiful little court yard to sit outside. Do not be put off by the fold down bed.. the biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. DO NOT over look this property. It was outstanding.. I am well traveled and this is an absolute find! Bargain!

Belle chambre bel emplacement mais qui perd sa valeur hors saison

L’emplacement

En fait hors saison Yvoire est un village fantôme sans commerce et sans restaurant. La location n’étant qu’une chambre ( on le savez) il a fallu chercher dans les village d’à côté de quoi se restaurer . Ça passe pour une nuit mais pas plus.

Très bon séjour dans ce petit cocon situé au centre du village; très bonne literie.

Nous avons dû appeler notre hôte car personne n'était présent lors de notre arrivée. Cela nous a engendré des coûts téléphoniques supplémentaires. Nous avions pourtant annoncé notre arrivée et il était mentionné sur le site Booking que quelqu'un serait présent pour la remise des clés.

Das Zimmer ist zwar sehr schön, aber für das was es bietet viel zu teuer!

Der Alte Turm liegt an einer Toplage in Mitten des historischen Altstädtchen Yvoire und einer fantastischen Aussicht auf den Genfersee. Das Zimmer ist sehr ansprechend eingerichtet und dekoriert worden. Das Badezimmer ist sauber und hat alles was man braucht.

Leider hat das Zimmer nur zwei ganz kleine Fenster, welche seitwärts angelegt sind und so kaum Sonnenlicht hinein scheinen kann, daher ist das Zimmer sehr dunkel. Es hat also kein Fenster wo man zum See hinaus sehen kann! Des Weiteren ist das Badezimmer mit einem Lichtsensor und einer automatischen Belüftung ausgestattet, wenn also jemand in der Nacht auf die Toilette muss, heult das laute Gebläse 10-15 Minuten lang, was sehr ärgerlich ist. Da das Duschwasser nicht richtig abläuft, steht man nach kurzer Zeit in einem See.

Bonne découverte

Emplacement idéal dans une petite rue calme, à deux pas du port. Le logement est spacieux, la literie confortable, il y a un sèche cheveux, les serviettes, gel douche et shampooing.

Il n’y a pas de parking avec le logement, il faut se garer sur les parkings payants de la ville. L’hôte a été très gentille quand je l’ai eu au téléphone pour récupérer les clefs mais c’était la seule fois où elle a répondu à mes différents appels.

A refaire en été!

L'emplacement est magnifique, situé juste à coté du lac! La maison est très belle et l'appart est très beau aussi! Nous n'avons pas pris de petit déjeuner! Je n'ai eu la dame que par tél, très sympathique et elle nous a tout expliqué mais je pense que l'été, ça doit être encore mieux.

Petit nid douillet adorable

Nous avons adoré ce logement, un petit nid douillet dans le village bucolique d'Yvoire. Parfait pour un séjour en amoureux, bonne literie et belle décoration. Jolie vue sur le petit port des pêcheurs, tout est fait pour lâcher prise et s'évader le temps d'un week-end. Un grand merci, nous reviendrons !

Magnifique endroit très propre, très bien situé.

L'hébergement est magnifique , très propre , fonctionnel , très bien situé. Tout est pensé pour passer un agréable moment. Yvoire est un joli village médiéval à visiter absolument au bord du lac Léman.

L'hébergement est à la frontière Suisse. A notre arrivé à 17h15 nous n'arrivions pas à joindre par téléphone notre hôte. Elle est donc venue personnellement nous ouvrir. Merci pour son professionnalisme. Penser à vous renseigner au préalable des modalités de récupération des clés.
