Stayed at this spot with spouse & pups for about 2 weeks while in the area for work. If you like to be in an isolated spot for your stay, this is the perfect place - very rural, quiet, no distractions.The cabin is really nice with all you need for the stay, the grounds are great for walks and just sitting and watching the wildlife go by. Had fun fishing in the pond, and just watching the fish jump, frogs & turtles swimming around.All correspondence with the host was answered quickly and accurately.Linton is really close and has good shopping and food places.All in all, great spot, would definitely stay here again!

The cottage is very nice and is ideally close to Goose Pond. Communication with the owners was exceptionally good. (We would suggest bringing your own groceries, unless you don't mind driving to the Walmart in Linton for them.)

This place was absolutely wonderful! Very clean, very peaceful and we will be back! The only thing I would recommend is bringing bug spray or a big citronella candle. There was a small one on the table outside but it was just not strong enough. The mosquitos tore us up when we sat on the porch at night. Other than that this place was top notch for our anniversary getaway.

If you're looking to be immersed in nature, look no further! An absolutely beautiful home tucked away next to it's own private pond. The grounds of Pleasant Grove are also incredible, we wish we would have had more time to explore! Host did a phenomenal job of providing us with all of the details in advance and also provided all of the necessities to make for a great stay. Highly recommend as we will be back again in the future.

Cottage was clean, owners were thoughtful. Great little getaway spot. On the night we stayed, there was constant heavy rain and thunderstorms. The covered porch was very nice to have in light of this. We may have been a little rough on the provided towels trying to dry off the dog and ourselves when we had to, but hopefully things washed up ok.

A charming cabin next to a little fishing pond. It has a comfortable front porch with a swing and rocking chair. We are birders and saw and heard over 20 species of birds from the porch! We also saw a snapping turtle strolling the driveway and many little frogs leaping into the pond. The owner clearly has put lots of thought into making the cabin cozy and comfy and the property friendly to wildlife. We really enjoyed our visit there with our granddaughter who spotted an orchard oriole! We would like to return sometime during the fall or spring bird migrations at Goose Pond Wildlife Refuge. A terrific ‘off the beaten path’ getaway!

Just an outstanding little cabin situated at the end of a lane with a pond right out the front door. So relaxing. Lots of fire wood for evening fires. Fishing in the pond is a bit lack luster, but the turtles will keep you entertained. The cabin is small, but great. Everything you need and nothing that you don't.

Very enjoyable experience! My wife and 2 small dogs really enjoy it (well, the Yorkie does). A lot of nature to see including wild turkeys, tortoises, exotic birds, and deer. The pond right out front is nice, I don't think the pond was stocked this time but the previous two times we were there the fishing was excellent. Nevertheless there was a State park area just 8 minutes away to fish. Always a great get-a-way.

The cottage was exactly as posted and a great place to stay. One cautionary note: We were there during and immediately after a heavy rain period. County Roads 1100 W and 200 S (just east of the turn to the property, CR 1050 W) were completely flooded and impassable. It is safest to access the property from SR59 to CR 200 S to CR 1050 W, turning right onto 300 S leading to the property.

The cabin was small and cute. A great size for a couple or small family. The location was super close to Goose Pond, but it had its own little pond, where we were visited by a mallard. It was really quiet. I wish we could have stayed longer. I wouldn't recommend for children under 4 or 5 who enjoy climbing steps. The steps were a bit worrisome for my little one, but for any older kids it's a perfect little loft. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to go back.

Found them on Vrbo when looking for a secluded cabin. Boy, did I get so much more than I couldve ever thought from my booking! the qoose pond cabin is very secluded,hygge feeling,just the retreat I was looking for to celebrate the holidays with family in a holiday weekend getaway. the host is very considerate,and thought of every thing a resident would need,and the detail is reflected in the entire cabin. What we didnt know, was across the street they have a radio coordinated light show,as well as an Inn. The light show is free. The Inn looks as though the owner took a page straight out of a holiday edition: Better Homes magazine. very warm,familiar,and encapsulating the feeling of Christmas. loved it. would recommend during fall. *side note. As an fyi the loft is VERY warm even if the heat is off. not a bad thing but should be considered if you have multiple people staying with you. The people will need to like being warm. No blanket needed kind of warm. Fans are provided.

I enjoyed my stay at Goose Pond! It was very peaceful and just what I needed. Roku TV easy to access…. Shower is definitely excellent! And the heated floor. Very cozy. Weather went from the low 80s to the low 60s- the cottage was easy to keep comfy. The pond, turtles and birds kept me entertained….. the porch is very nice (glad I brought my zero gravity lounger) and deep enough to protect from the chilly rain. Definitely bring your bug juice! All in all, the cabin is sweet. Could perhaps use a little bit of a refresh - and new linens.

Loved the location and the quiet atmosphere. Lots of nature experiences, you can go on small hikes if desired. The only thing id mention were the insects were extra this time of year with humidity and 82 to 85 avg temps and The pond in front is not spring fed nor moving so this led to a huge breeding ground that cut our nights short even using bug control. The Inn is very nice and you can go visit for another viewing experience and fishing. The staff is amazing and accommodating, and also provide a fully stocked cabin for your stay. All you need is food and the family to have a great time. Thank you again for amazing hospitality! Hope to book again!!

This cabin is small, but if you enjoy fishing and watching beavers collecting grass and twigs for their home this is the place! It's very peaceful and quiet. The first day I caught about a 3lb bull head catfish then my husband caught another one too, and there is bass also! The cabin is close to Linton which we went to often. We would stay here again.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Goose Pond Cottage. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We relaxed by the fire pit each night which was made possible by the provided firewood. We loved fishing in the little private pond located right off the porch. Turtle watching was an amusing highlight. We appreciated being able to take our small dog. It's a perfect location for a nice get away retreat.
