About this cabin rental
Take a step back in time to a simpler way of life! Enjoy this log cabin that was originally built in the pioneer days. While the cabin retains the charm of the 1800's, it also has been updated with basic amenities like electricity, indoor plumbing, hot water, and everything you would expect from a modern cabin. Located on Cataract Lake, yards from a public boat launch, this is the perfect spot to get out onto the lake or just relax amongst the trees. Boat parking is provided on the property.
The space
The log cabin is situated on 3 acres of land. It can be slightly rugged in spots, so watch your step. The land between the cabin and the lakefront is heavily wooded, giving you the feeling of being in a private woods even though neighbors aren't too far away. The cabin consists of two main living spaces with a spacious entryway between. A bathroom and kitchen sit at the back of the cabin. Upstairs in the main bedroom on one side and a loft on the other side.
Guest access
You will have full access to the entire cabin, deck, and property. The spaces that are not available for guess use are the shed and detached garage.
Parking on the gravel only, please do not park in the grass.
Other things to note

The cabin was very charming. The porch was really cool. Loved listening to the rain while sitting on the swing. We kayaked, so the ease of it being so close to a boat launch was nice. Can't say enough about how cool the stay was. Two definite thumbs up!! Thank you again for having us!!

Old timey cabin for sure! Love how it’s laid out and looks! Great little spot. Plenty of room for the family. Definitely a must visit place and has lots of history. Great host! Great communication! Love love love this cabin!!

The aesthetic of the cabin was so cute and charming! We loved that aspect of it the most. Our kids felt like we were in a fairytale and loved spying the different critters from the windows.

A bit too rustic for us. We did not stay. Cabin rests on what appears to be a ravine and did not see lake from any vantage point but perhaps we missed it due to woods. Interior was fairly clean and beds looked comfy but the musty smell was overwhelming. No working fireplaces. Would suggest instructions for use of TV (no antenna, cable or internet) be provided as well as info regarding area restaurants, etc. Terrain is indeed rough and not for someone elderly or unsure of footing. Lake was pretty. Contacted owner, who was helpful and cooperative. We were refunded most of our money.
