Very peaceful location

Very peaceful location close to the start of NC500 route if going anticlockwise. Gave us the opportunity to see The Black Isle at the beginning of our NC500 adventure. The property also has glamping pods and a small animal farm, which is great for families .

There is no living room. Downstairs, there is a kitchen diner with hard dining chairs, a toilet with a shower, and a bedroom with an armchair. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with an en suite toilet and shower. So nowhere for a couple to sit together in comfort. Although I know this is temporary, the view from our window was of a skip, and quite early in the mornings, workmen turned up at the property. This is not an issue in itself. However, there are no net curtains or blinds to the downstairs windows, making us feel a bit exposed.

Quiet and comfortable rooms. Downstairs bedroom had a window on two sides, so lovely and light.

No separate sitting room - the downstairs bedroom doubled as that space.

The quality of furniture and fittings and comfort of the apartment were very good. The host replied immediately to questions and it was easy to get in.

There was no living area and this was not made clear in the details. For an apartment sleeping 4 we found this unacceptable. Also the picture of the outside of the property was of the main house which did not reflect the entrance to the apartment we were in.

Wonderful property in great location

Great little place, super comfortable and wonderful location. Kids loved all of the animals and it was lovely to have chickens wandering around by our door!

A good location to explore the area and then come back to rest and relax in a tranquil spot.

WE liked the fact we had the whole section of the servants Quarters. The bed was comfy, the house is situated in beautiful surroundings with sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens and ponies in the grounds. All of which can be looked at, with signs not to feed. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery for us both, with washing up liquid, bowl and clothes, and a tea towel. The bathroom was a suitable size with toilet roll, towels and body/hand/hair wash. The water was hot when we needed it, and the room was warm, there was a heater which was turned on in the hall way/entrance which was enough for us. There was a stand alone heater in our double room along with a radiator. There is not a wardrobe with doors, but there is hanging space and plenty of hangers. The windows have blinds rather than curtains. The location is quiet, and we found it very restful. We organised breakfast for 9.30, the latest available, and for £5.00 each we had delivered a small box of cereal, a yoghurt, milk, a warm croissant, jam and a packet of biscuits each, very well worth it. It was delivered by our hosts which was lovely, as we were there two nights we got to meet both our hosts. On the right side of the bed there is no where to place items, but we moved the small table across and put it there, but be aware that the door could knock this.

It's difficult to think of anything that could be improved, maybe bigger towels, they were adequate, but really I am struggling to find anything we didn't like.

Pleasant

The location. Very easy access from A9 to property.

My daughter has mobility difficulties and the access up the stairs to the property was very difficult for her. Also the stairs to the bedroom with the single beds was very steep and not suitable for her. There was no communal area in the property which was also diassapointing. Both of these issues were not highlighted on the website and overall we did not feel the property was accessible for people with mobility difficulties.

Poor

The house was pictured from the front it looks nothing like that at the rear where we stayed. The owner accused us of damaging his carpet which we did not do so be aware when booking that he may try to extort money from you for no reason.

Lovely hosts, nice little house.

A very nice house that was equipped with two bathrooms with showers for both me and my colleague, a great shampoo and soup choice, I found the beds to be comfortable and the house was very clean. Nice little kitchen too.

There was a very sensitive fire alarm outside out kitchen that went off every time we cooked which only the owners could here so we disturbed them a lot which was a shame. My colleague is younger and his complaint was that his TV was a bit small but that's kids for you.

Good value A9 option.

Really good option for a wee group. Very nice bedrooms and well resourced kitchen. Loved looking at the adorable farm animals in the field above the garden.

Slightly disappointed there wasn't a comfortable lounging area but managed fine in the kitchen for one night.

Lovely location and very quiet. Property was compact but had everything we needed for 1 night stay.

We missed that there was no lounge in the description, so that was a bit odd. No communal relaxing space would limit this to only 1 or 2 nights from our perspective. This isn't a criticism, just an observation! As two couples travelling together, was a bit of a challenge!

Great find in Delny

Great 2 bedroom accommodation, clean modern and cosy. The hosts went out of their way to help us with an early check-in so we could attend a near-by wedding. Would recommend

OK but the website should make it very clear there is no living room

Property v clean , v comfortable beds , showers excellent , property nice and quiet , the animal farm was sweet . Good enough property for a night or two but def not longer . Billed for 4 people but this property fits only two comfortably.

There was no lounge /living area . It felt odd to have bedrooms as the only space to both sleep and relax in . We assumed there would be at least somewhere to sit . Oddly there was only one chair in the downstairs bedroom so the 2nd person had to sit perched on the bed . The bedroom upstairs had no seats at all - what do 4 people do if it's pouring rain and they're stuck indoors ? Sit round the tight space in the kitchen perhaps . Kitchen short on some basic items e.g egg cups / hand towel . Property OK for 2 people- def not suited to 4

The location and the stay was very beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and it was well equipped.

It felt a bit impersonal considering we were virtually living in the owners house. We didn't see them during the 3 nights we were there. There is no living area in the property, just 2 bedrooms (with 1 comfy chair between them) with en suites and a basic kitchen with table and folding chairs. The twin bedroom is upstairs and the double downstairs, this wasn't a problem to us but might be to someone with young children. A couple more hand towels and more seating would have been good, perhaps some outdoor chairs. There was mention of breakfast in the welcome book but I think this must be aimed at the glamping pods.
