Nice and quiet
Bit far from the centre. Sheets need replacing as they were very worn and scratchy which felt gross. The power socket in my bunk didn’t work.

This hostel is located on the busy County Road in a house dating back to 1865. From the outside, it appears closed because there are shutters on the ground floor. The entrance is situated on a side street, Neston Street. You receive a code to open the main entrance. A steep, narrow staircase leads to the rooms and the common area upstairs. The hostel is very compact, and many people, including four volunteers, stay in a relatively small space. Amenities such as the showers and WiFi are good (everything worked properly). The accommodation (including the shared kitchen) is kept very clean. The dormitories offer comfortable beds and with attached bathroom. The windows are often left open because the rooms can get stuffy quickly, but this also means you are bothered more by the noise from the busy road. For me, the location was the biggest drawback, as it is 5 km away from the city center. Regular buses (20 and 21) run for £2 one way. However, Anfield Stadium is nearby, so the location is excellent for soccer fans. There is an Aldi supermarket 500 meters away and there are many restaurants nearby. Crosby Beach with the Gormley statues is 8 km away. Note that prices can be very high on weekends (more than double the price on weekdays).
I missed hooks in the bathroom.
