AluaSoul Zakynthos - Adults only - All Inclusive

Our ocean view room with swim-up pool had a with fantastic view and quiet place to relax and enjoy to the sun. We loved it every day! A private ocean access with clear water was a great addition to the pool. While the rooms are close to each other you felt still private, rooms were quite and there were enough choices for sun bathing or rest with your book in the shade. The people were friendly and very helpful, especially the teams at the bar, reception and restaurant. The hotel feels nicely setup and like a little island on its own where you can relax. We booked a boat trip via the hotel which worked out very smoothly. Parking for your rental car was convenient as well. For all inclusive guests, we would like to highlight that the buffet and the food choices were very good and any drinks at the bar were great as well.

Old gym that didn't have enough towels to keep things clean, also only 1 treadmill for so many guests led to battles and often inconvenience between the guests. All inclusive package: There was a perfectly nice pool bar for club guests, however, only open from 10am until 6pm, which let to a crowed bar upstairs that is serving until 11 pm for all hotel guests. Dinner reservation at the a-la-carte restaurant was only possible for a few tables; For the first 3 days we couldn't get any space, that was a downer as it is not ideal to pay a lot and then need to eat 3 times a day at the same buffet. The buildings and facilities are nicely setup, but will need an update very soon, the colors of the wall and doors started to look worn out. Our swim-up pool also had tiles floating around. Entertainment program was not really our choice. We stayed for 7 nights not a single Greek music night or similar performances which made us to go outside and eat in the town to experience at least a bit of the Greek feeling.

The little pier with access to the ocean is amazing and, surprisingly, that swimming spot is almost always empty. The water is clean and calm. The pictures online just don’t do it justice. The food and drink options are both wide and vary to have a nice change. The breakfast menu varies less than the dinner menu. Still amazing. The staff is amazing! We only made positive experiences everywhere (reception, pool-bar, restaurant) Hava from the dinner staff was amazing and always made us feel welcome. Eva, Irina and Nikos(?) from the bar were also amazing. There was one lady at the reception who really did take the time to listen and understand to help us with a request. Cant remember her name, but thank you! The rooms are comfortable and as described online. The events at night are a perfect way to end dinner. The location was perfect for us: nice swimming spot, quiet surroundings but just a short walk away from a bus station that connects to mayor towns. You do have all you need within a 3-5 min walking distance (convenience store, pharmacy, medical center, info. Center, a sandy beach, restaurants).

The only thing I cant think about is the scrambled eggs at breakfast (a little watery). We did had an issue with the room but it was solved right away (i think this speaks for the good quality of the service).

However, the term "all inclusive" shouldn't be used so loosely. Paying the amount i paid for my and my partner I'd atleast expect the crisps at the bar to be included in the "all inclusive" part of the hotel.

Nice location. Easy walk to shops and bars in village. Breakfast was OK. Food fresh with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Rooms (premium class) are comfortable and well appointed.

Not suitable for anybody with mobility issues. There are steep steps from the restaurant/reception area down to the pools, bars and sea. Lunch very average. Food acceptable but mostly same/similar fare every day. Dinner disappointing. Lack of imagination for hot dishes, mostly stew type. Grill bar completely underutilised. No fresh meat or fish cooked to order, no roasts. Only offerings were dishes of precooked fish, plates of precooked beefburgers (like flip flops) and dishes of hot dogs in rolls. Bathrooms are poorly laid out and have a small step to the shower which is a trip hazard. Also floor is extremely slippery when wet. Pools generally ok but insufficient sunbeds. Towels placed on sunbeds before 07.00 despite well advertised hotel rules not to reserve beds. Areas around pool edges slippery.
