Open since April 27, 2018.
The cottage is located at the exit of the village, 10 minutes walk from the woods.
This is a modern renovation in an old farmhouse: we kept some stone walls, and some beams.
The modern layout and 4-star comfort are there to spend pleasant moments with family or friends: large living room, kitchen and dining room open on the terrace and garden, 5 spacious bedrooms, bubble bath, 3 showers Infra-red cabin ...

We stayed with 3 families. Had enough space and facilities are new and complete. Especially the fireplace in the living room is very nice.

Fabulous house

Fabulous house

We have just returned home from our lovely long stay at this house. My son Toby has insisted we mark it 5 stars and we agree with him. It's a beautiful house, beautifully decorated and great attention to detail. The cork wall in the kitchen is amazing! Lovely comfortable beds, big sofa's to relax on for everyone and a huge table and chairs for gathering together for a meal. The decking out in the back garden, with lots of chairs and a gazebo is a great touch also. The owner Catherine lives next door and I cannot emphasise enough how lovely she is. She is always on hand if needed but leaves you to your own devices and privacy unless you want her. She was kind enough one day to call round with a chocolate cake for our children. She was full of ideas for places for us to visit and explore. Both Marche an famenne and La Roche an Ardenne ( both nearby) are great. Lots of places to eat and drink. We also loved visiting Durbuy. Lovely place. We would love to visit again one day. We heartily recommend it. Thank you Catherine and family from all of us.

We hebben een heel fijn paasweekend doorgebracht in een fijn huis voorzien van alle gemakken. De gastvrouw Cathérine is erg vriendelijk, heeft ons voorzien van verse eieren, en we mochten zelfs langer blijven.

Heerlijke locatie. Huis is ruim opgezet. Overal is voor gezorgd, van toiletpapier tot koffiefilters. De vriendelijke gastvrouw woont ernaast en is dus goed bereikbaar als het nodig is. Je kunt er heerlijk wandelen en allerlei andere activiteiten ondernemen. Echt een aanrader!

Wonderful house in a quiet area. Best place to be with friends

We came to the house and it was exactly as we anticipated it. It is spacious, perfectly equipped for cooking with friends and family. The bedrooms are spacious, there are enough bathrooms. The lounge is cosy, the dining table is big enough for 14 people. We went there with 7 people, so had ample space. Catherine is a lovely host. Go to "La Gloriette" for dinner which is about 10 km away in Marche-en-Famenne. Again, a recommendation from our lovely host. Only: Please note that you need to bring your own sheets and towels or pay for the beds to be made and the towels to be provided. All in all : If time allows, we will come again. Thank you very much, Catherine!!! Have a nice Christmas

Wohnzimmer, Esstisch und Garten: alles geeignet für viele Personen, man kann je nach Wetter drin oder draußen zusammen sitzen. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, es gibt einen Grill und draußen auch noch einen Pavillion und zwei Biertisch-Garnituren. Für Deutsche etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber in Benelux verbreitet: in den zwei separaten WCs gibt es keine Waschbecken!

Le gîte est beau et très chaleureux. Seul bémol, les matelas des grands lits étaient à notre goût trop mous. Catherine, la propriétaire est très gentille et prête à aider si nécessaire.

Das Haus ist soweit ganz schön. Auch die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Leider sind wir von der Ausstattung ein wenig enttäuscht. So gut wie keine Zimmertür funktionierte problemlos, die Duschen waren leider auch wenig ansprechend. Generell lies die Sauberkeit des Hauses zu wünschen übrig. Oberflächlich sieht zunächst alles gut aus, aber wenn man sich dann genauer umsieht, ist das Haus leider sehr schmutzig. Was uns auch sehr gestört hat ist, dass ständig irgendwelche Personen und auch der Hund der Vermieterin in "unserem" Gartenbereich rumgelaufen sind. Wir müssen abschließend leider sagen, dass wir nicht noch einmal dorthin fahren würden. Schade, denn das Haus hat eigentlich Potential zu Mehr!

De woning ziet er nieuw uit en is van veel gemakken voorzien. De kammers zijn ruim en schoon en de bedden liggen goed. Zelfs kleine dingen zoals wc-papier, suiker, afwasmiddel is aanwezig zodat je niet alles zelf hoeft mee te nemen. De communicatie met de eigenaar is prettig verlopen. Kortom een aanrader!

Perfect holiday home for larger groups

We had a wonderful time with 9 people. There is plenty of space for relaxing, cooking together and sitting by the wood oven. Everything is renovated beautifully and with a nice mixture of old farmhouse and modern styles. Although weather was not too great during our stay we did a nice walk and the surrounding landscape with it's pastures and small old villages are really worth looking at.

Wij hebben met onze familie (14 personen) een mooie week doorgebracht in dit vakantiehuis. In het huis is van alles te vinden om een vakantie te laten slagen. Er is veel ruimte, de zithoek bied voor iedereen een lekker zitplek, de tafel bij de keuken is groot genoeg om gezellig met zijn allen aan te eten. Op de eerste verdieping zijn de slaapkamer erg gezellig en modern ingericht. De luxe badkamers zien er mooi uit. De tuin heeft een plek om een kampvuurtje te maken en er staat een tafeltennistafel waar we, omdat we mooi weer hadden, veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt. De kinderen vonden de dieren in de achtertuin ook erg leuk! Vanuit het huis kun je genoeg mooie wandelingen maken van verschillende afstanden. Het dorpje, met een klein winkeltje, ligt op korte afstand van het huis. Samengevat hebben wij een erg leuke, gezellige en mooie vakantie gehad in dit fijne vakantiehuis!

Das Haus ist super schön, sauber und ordentlich und mit allem nötigen eingerichtet. Auch der Außenbreich ist sehr toll. Catherine hat uns sehr nett empfangen und wir konnten sogar etwas früher rein als angegeben. Alles in allem war es das perfekte Haus für uns und der perfekte Aufenthalt.

Ma famille et moi, avons eu le plaisir d'étrenner le nouveau gîte "l'air du feu" Que dire? MERCI à Madame Dupont pour tous les mails qu'elle a eu la gentillesse de m'envoyer afin de me tenir au courant de l'avancement des travaux. MERCI à Catherine Dupont et à son époux, pour tout le travail déployé et aussi et surtout pour leur chaleureux accueil. Tout de suite, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. BRAVO à tous les deux pour avoir su faire de ce gîte un petit nid douillet décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Tout y était PARFAIT et bien pensé. Ce gîte est superbement équipé. Tout y était, du produit de vaisselle à la machine à laver...rien ne manque. Si vous désirez faire une jus d'orange ou un gâteau, ouvrez un tiroir, vous y trouverez les ustensiles nécessaires. Je cherche encore ce qui pourrait manquer. GENIAL... on a profité de tout....cabine infrarouge, bain bulles, bbq, braséro, et l'extraordinaire poêle de masse....un véritable bijou ....je vous le laisse découvrir... A vous aussi, de découvrir le village, les routes de campagne, les bois aux alentours...le calme... ENCORE...et ENCORE...la preuve, nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine afin de fêter le premier anniversaire de ce magnifique gîte, et de retrouver de belles personnes ...des propriétaires charmants, sympathiques, disponibles et discrets.
