The villa is an absolute oasis. Everything is beautifully taken care of and shows off the rich history of the villa. The staff is exceptional and is always available to answer and questions. We really enjoyed our time at the Villa Margaridi. I would definitely stay there again!

The grounds were lovely and the hosts were very attentive. The evening drink was a nice touch.
The sofa bed was small. I didn’t realise that it wasn’t a hotel, just lodges, so no hotel bar or breakfast room etc. The breakfast was provided daily to your lodge. These were items from the supermarket and some bread and croissants.

I can not improve on the wonderful reviews already written about Villa Margaridi. It is an oasis of calm in a beautiful medieval city. Our hosts, José and Hugo, could not have been more hospitable, friendly, and generous. Villa Margaridi was the highlight of our 3 week visit to northern Spain and Portugal. We haven't stopped talking about it. We will return - soon, I hope. A warm thank you to José and Hugo for making our stay so memorable.

The host was absolutely fantastic and probably the best we have had in many years of travelling. We praise their attention, consideration and kindness to make us feel at home and among friends rather than just paying guests and make the best out of our stay. The villa was exactly what we were hoping for, relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back :)
