Borgo Stoppi, situated at 600 m a.s.l. at the foot of the Castello Poggio alla Regina, was a property of the counts Guidi since the 11th Century and after some changes of owners, in the 14th Century it became the main centre of the medieval district named "Curia del Castiglione" and agricultural capital of the surrounding mountain area, with its own town hall and big weekly market. Today, the old houses of the hamlet have been restored to 8 units, enhancing in a superb manner the beauty this affascinating place has maintained during the centuries: cypress, oak, pine and chestnuts trees are silent testimonies of Nature and wild boars, hares, squirrels, phaesants and owls may be watched in the surroundings. From the terrace covered with olive trees that produce one of the best and genuine olive oils of the area, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama over the Arno valley and the Chianti hills. The views from the property are amazing, and worth the steep drive to reach the house. The pool was a lovely spot to spend an afternoon soaking up the Tuscan sun. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Schöne Anlage, toller Pool. Der Blick von der Terrasse ganz herrlich. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Reggello ist ein schöner kleiner Ort mit mehreren Lokalen.

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to spent a vaction in a quiet place, surrounded by nature.
High in the hills above the small village of Reggello. The house is very well equipped. Although we were just my wife and me, The house would fit perfectly for 6-8 persons.
A special thank you goes to Rosanna - who runs the place for the owners - for her warm welcome. Always being available for us and giving some great advices where to go for wine and food. "Il Gottino" in Reggello can be warmy recommended.
We'll definitively come back.

Beautiful location and views. A car is essential as no taxis are available. The house was typical rustic Tuscan style with solid wood furnishings. The chairs in the outside garden area were quite uncomfortable. No linen change for our second weeks stay (and no washing machine to do it ourselves) Kitchen was well equipped but lacked preparation surfaces. Pool was clean and well maintained but could get very busy and noisy at times. R. was friendly and helpful on both arrival and departure .
