About this villa rental

This traditional stone-built property benefits from awe-inspiring vistas and wonderful secluded grounds; an ideal hideaway for those seeking a slower, more peaceful pace.

Well appointed above the hamlet of Porta and surrounded by greenery, the charm of the villa inside is the attention to detail throughout, with antiques and beamed ceilings adding unique character to the ambience. There is a large veranda at the front of the house. This spot is perfect for lunches in the shade, with a simple table and chairs and several pots of flowers and herbs.
A few steps down, the infinity pool is a magnificent turquoise colour.
With plenty of room to spread out, little terraces and patios operate on different levels within the grounds. Clearly delineated with stones is the original ‘thresher’s floor’ where horses or donkeys walking in a continuous circle would separate the grain from the chaff by crushing it on the hard surface.
Ideal for breakfast, the main balcony that runs along the living area looks out to a glorious panorama of the Albanian mountains and the verdant hillsides that drop down to the Ionian Sea.
Double French windows in the living area give light and an air of spaciousness to the interior. Comfy sofas cluster around the fireplace, and an elegant dining area is enhanced with dainty lace curtains filtering in the sunshine.
A twin bedroom, decorated with pretty floral curtains and bedcovers, also has a fireplace.
Another twin and a double bedroom (master bedroom) share the balcony that runs along the main area of the house, in prime position to enjoy the stunning sunrise.

We had a wonderful two weeks at this property - a beautiful house and location away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. The views are spectacular, the house well equipped and the pool lovely. A car is essential, as are nerves of steel. Mountain driving may not be for everyone. 2 mins drive to Kassiopi with shops/tavernas. We drove to many little bays in North Corfu and to Corfu Old Town (about 90 mins). Hiring a book is also a great way to see the coastline. There are many available (we used Fontas boats, Nissaki - good value and helpful intro on how to use the boat). Aristidis was a kind and thoughtful host, very responsive and quick to action any concerns.

Very nice and super accomodating host. Unique location, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Need a car. We will hopefully come back. The owner (Aristidis) was available all the time with very short turn around time for any kind of quedtions

This place is amazing! We spent a week here in October and were spoilt with sunshine. In the mornings we watched beautiful sunrises, later we mostly went about exploring the beautiful area on foot - you can actually walk out the back door and hike all the way up to Mount Pantokrator - or by car, which, yes, is a little bit tricky since Thresher's House is situated high up. The house itself is a gem. It was always easy to contact Aristidis and though we didn't get to meet personally we felt like real guests rather than paying ones. Thank you, Aristidis, for a wonderful week! PPantokeator - or by car.
