About this villa rental
Podere Aiaccia sits alone high in the Tuscan hills overlooking a panoramic view, which can be enjoyed from every room in the farmhouse. Aiaccia is a large converted farmhouse equipped for modern needs whilst retaining many original features. The water comes directly from the top of the mountain and is purified by the house's sophisticated water purification system so can be drunk straight from the tap! Aiaccia is dialect for "underground stream".
Accommodation consists of a large entrance hall, downstairs washroom, good sized kitchen, large dining room and a large sitting room all with doors leading onto the terrace. The siting room contains a fully working fireplace. Upstairs a large landing leads through to two large double bedrooms and a twin room, one double with ensuite bathroom. A spacious family bathroom is situated on this floor.
Outside a terrace spans the length of the farmhouse with a lower terrace for a more intimate space. Steps lead down to the swimming pool which also enjoys panoramic views. The extensive grounds and woodland surrounding the property can be explored, you can enjoy building camps or just wandering in the solitude of the countryside.
The farmhouse can only be accessed by a 1 km private road.
Podere Aiaccia is rural escape for families and a quiet romantic getaway for your special someone. Pets are very welcome and with space to roam they can enjoy the countryside with freedom!
The nearest village is San Leo Bastia, a 10 minute drive away. In the other direction the medieval walled town of Cortona nestled atop a Tuscan hill is popular with tourists and locals alike. Sienna is an hour and a half drive from the house, Florence two hours and Rome two and a half hours drive. Your nearest airport is Perugia with direct flights from main airports around the world. From Perugia the farmhouse is a 45 minute drive.
