Surrounded by the enchanting Tuscan countryside, next to a large orchard, woods and terraces of olive trees, Molbena House is the ideal place to fully relax in a luxuriant nature, away from the chaos and crowding, but still being a few minutes away from the artistic treasures of Cortona and the several food and wine trails that the Val di Chiana has to offer.
From its altitude of 550 meters, Molbena House has a fantastic view of the Val di Chiana and the hills of Cortona and Umbria, which are full of history, art and have witnessed great historical events and battles. The villa has recently been renovated and restored in all its plants and facilities, and has also been equipped with every comfort to offer the most enjoyable stay.

Molbena House consists of 4 large bedrooms, two with double bed, for a total of 8 beds. It also has 5 bathrooms, a large lounge, a kitchen and a dining room.
There is also has a large swimming pool with a springboard a few meters from the house, next to the orchard, where to have fun and cool off on hot summer days, maybe while enjoying a sweet just-picked fig or apricot.
The house also features a hybrid heating system (solar-diesel), air conditioning, a large traditional fireplace, TV, free Wi-Fi Internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven.

Our 2-week stay at Molbena House near the amazing town of Cortona couldn't have been better. The house is large and spead out over 3 floors, with all bedrooms having en-suite shower rooms and amazing views over the coutryside from it's lofty location. There is plenty of entertaining space and outdoor space for alfresco eating, including a good sized bbq. We visited in July / August and were two families; 4 adults and 4 children and eveyone enjoyed themselves. The swimming pool is a good size with 4 sun loungers and deck chairs to relax on. The old town of Cortona and all it's restaurants is just a 15 minute drive away and so is Camucia where you will find supermarkets and more places to eat. We especially enjoyed Pizzeria San Lazzaro in Camucia and the restaurants in Cortona are too many to mention. We also visited Locanda Del Molino a wonderful restaurant in nearby Montanare. Would be great to have a slightly larger fridge as our water, beer, wine and milk took up plently of space and the wi-fi is generally only available of the ground floor, but these two minor points certainly didn't detract from our stay. Molbena House is truly a great and relaxing place to spend a few weeks in the Tuscan sun.

A very spacious house with spacious and very clean and airconditioned rooms, fresh sheets and towels, an enormous swimmingpool, great views over the valley, perfect surroundings with beautiful villages and to top it off a visit of a small fox late at night: all great! The long, steep and slippery climb is something to consider for small cars or cars pulling trailers and the kitchen could use an update, but that's minor compared to all the advantages.

We´d spent 2 weeks here in July 22, 4 adults and 3 kids. The house is really big and all rooms are spacious, all bedrooms are very large, beds are comfortable and the air cons in all bedrooms are great, because we had partly daily temperatures up to 40 ° C and above, so sleeping was pleasant. The pool is really huge, super nice and will be cleaned weekly. It would be great if there were more sunbeds at the pool, as there are currently only 4 sunbeds plus 3 deck chairs. There is also unfortunately not really shade and only a small parasol (for at least 10 people) is simply not enough, here would be more shade especially in summer necessary. We had brought a sun sail, which we also used. In addition, you have to know that the house is placed in a forest area and thus there are hornets, small scorpions, wild boars and many mosquitoes, as well as other small animals. We found the wild boars super interesting and hoped to watch them every evening. The equipment of the kitchen could use a small update, dishes and pots are enough available, but there are missing e.g. whisks, several cutting boards, pan turn etc.. Gas stove and refrigerator would also have to be renewed or repaired. The wifi unfortunately only easily accessible in the living room, which allows working or playing only there. TV we´d not used, as we´d enjoyed the evening at the outside. The driveway to the house is really a big challenge, from the road to the house it is 2 km steeply uphill, you have to be able to drive serpentines to get up and also have good nerves. The track consists partly only of gravel, on which the wheels can sometimes spin. We had only higher cars (SUV's), whether one comes up with a normal passenger car, I can´t say. There are already many tree roots and potholes on the way. Nevertheless, we had a super nice vacation and the view into the valley every morning again is breathtaking and sunsets as well. The silence there makes you forget the stress of everyday life quickly. We could reach the host always by Whatsapp, he was really very helpful and we felt very comfortable.

For various reasons we were all exhausted and arrived from two different countries to the most beautiful house, set in glorious countryside with stunning views. The house was a wonderful haven, cool on the inside from the high ceilings and air conditioning with a gentle breeze outdoors most of the time. The house was spacious and easily accommodated us all. Basic provisions had been provided and communication with the owner were prompt and extremely helpful. The size of the pool was a delight with thoughtful planting of rosemary and lavender that perfumed the surrounding ares and provided a beautiful display of butterflies all day. The wildlife was outstanding and we all enjoyed watching the red squirrels and on the last evening a family of wild boar snuffling round the orchard. A truly magical relaxing time for us all. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa di Molbena. The views were amazing, the house was really clean and well equiped and the pool was huge. Fiorenzo was also a great host.

To make it short. For all those who love a peaceful and quiet holiday in Tuscany nature. The panoramic views from the house over the valley are breathtaking. The house itself is really perfect with all the antique furniture, you just feel more than comfortable. We had a wonderful time in Molbena house although the weather wasn't that perfect first two weeks of may but we will definitely come back !!!

The house itself is very comfortable and large enough to allow everybody to have its own space when not we didn''t gather all together. We spent most of our time outside, using the huge bbq or laying around one of the largest swimming-pool I ever saw in a house."
