Marconi Rooms Loggia delle Erbe

Excellent location, steps away from the main attractions, yet position in a quiet street. Good value for money if you’re just looking for an easy base while exploring the beautiful Verona.

The communication from the staff was quite frustrating. Before our arrival, I explained that I was travelling with two young children from another location and that, because of our journey, we would arrive after the guaranteed check in time of 3pm. Despite this, I was contacted repeatedly via WhatsApp and put under pressure to provide an exact arrival time, apparently so the housekeeper could make plans. I understand that knowing an approximate arrival time can be useful, but given that we were arriving within the stated check in window, the repeated messages felt unnecessary and stressful. What made this more frustrating was that, once we arrived, we were told not to use WhatsApp to contact them and that we should only call the office if we needed anything. This is particularly inconvenient for foreign guests, especially when WhatsApp had been the main method of communication beforehand. The tone of some of the staff communication also felt overly casual and, at times, rather rude. The apartment is in an area where cars cannot enter. The Q&A states that there is a link to a nearby car park offering a discounted rate of around €10 per day, but this offer is no longer valid. The actual cost was €26 per day, which is a significant difference and should be updated in the listing. We also requested two cots. We were told that availability could not be guaranteed, but that one cot would definitely be provided. When we arrived, there were no cots at all. I had to call the office and wait for someone to bring one, and we were told that they actually had to buy it. The second cot was never provided. The kitchen is extremely bare. There wasn’t even basic salt or pepper, which seems unreasonable for an apartment advertised for short stays. Guests staying for only one or two nights shouldn’t have to purchase all the basic kitchen essentials themselves.

Good location and excellent value.

Limited hot water in shower but everything else was perfect for money.

Fantastic location , comfortable beds and good facilities but air conditioning was poor and may need re gassing as it was far too hot

Too hot and difficult to sleep

The location is great and close to shopping and sites. There are three beds which is nice if you have teens who don’t want to share a bed. There is a/c.

The walls are paper thin. If you are unlucky, as we were, and have loud neighbors, you will not sleep! Also, the bathroom floor needs to be scrubbed. It was not clean which made me worry about how clean the rest of the apartment was.
