Very nice, pleasant flat. We had a lovely garden on a steep hillside with a pool, sun loungers and a place to eat our meals. Beautiful lush vegetation gives shade on hot days. From the balcony on the other side of the building (accessed from the living room and one of the bedrooms) there is a sweeping panorama of the sea and coastal towns. The floor below is lived in by the owners of the house. They are very discreet, so guests can have a relaxed and casual feel (the entrance to their flat is on the opposite side of the building). At the same time, they are very friendly and helpful and responded to our needs with commitment. There are a few houses in the immediate surroundings, we had a nice feeling of being in an idyllic area. A few steps up the mountain there are paths for longer and shorter walks. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the beach. It's also a great base for longer trips, such as to the Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca or deep into the Apuan Alps. I would sincerely recommend this flat for a holiday.
If I had to point out any shortcomings, it would be the lack of air conditioning. However, the flat has windows on two sides and is easy to ventilate in the evening or in the morning, and traditional shutters provide shade during hot weather.
Getting there by car can be a bit of a challenge due to the steep, narrow street, but with a little effort, even an average driver can manage it.
