Villa Planina - Ground Floor Apartment has 2 bedrooms (one twin, one double), double sofabed in the living room, and can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Villa Planina is offering spacious self catering accommodation for groups of 2-20 in four apartments in an alpine chalet with wonderful uninterrupted views of the Julian Alps. Villa Planina is located in a quiet spot on the edge of the charming authentic alpine village of Ratece just a few kilometres out of Slovenia’s most famous mountain resort Kranjska Gora and within walking distance of several excellent local restaurants and amenities with fantastic walking and mountain biking right from the doorstep of the villa and a wide range of Winter sports in very easy reach, including skiing at Kranjska Gora Ski Resort (5 minutes drive) and Tarvisio Monte Lussari (15 minutes drive). The four apartments each offer extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped accommodation, each with large balcony with fantastic views and a communal games room in the basement. Each apartment offers large balcony / terrace with beautiful mountain views, dishwasher, washing machine, flatscreen TV, cable TV, internet, underfloor heating. Communal garden & games room with pool table and ping pong table. Renting the whole house is a wonderful option for larger groups of families and friends.

We very much enjoyed our week in the apartment. Our booking was efficiently and politley handled; evrything was as described. The accommodation was very clean, and spacious for the four of us. Thoughtful details such as the well stocked kitchen made our stay comfortable. The location was excellent, with easy access to the national park which was very quiet, but spectacular. Although overlooking the road leading out into Italy, it was quiet and the view from the terrace and living room excellent. We enjoyed the summer toboggan and chair lifts in Kranskje Gora, and hiring bikes to use on the excellent cycle paths. We are very happy to reccomend the aea and the property to friends.

We were very happy with the flat, excellent furniture and equipment, underfloor heating was very appreciated by my toddler and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel at ease. Everything was spick & span, the view was great and it was pretty quiet in winter, though the house is quite close to the main road so I dont know how it would be in summertime with windows open; anyway, traffic is very limited, I would say. The valley is really nice and ideal for outdoor people.

Vila Planina made our stay at Kranjska Gora wonderful. The apartment was quite spacious, and it had all that was needed for a comfortable stay. The booking is easy, and the people who are responsible for your welcome and for your needs while you are there are always available. The location of the Vila is excellent, easy to find and the village it is located in is near several ski resorts. We warmly recommend Vila Planina if you ever come across a vacation in Kranjska Gora.

Lovely apartment!

We had a fantastic time here, we loved the apartment and it's location. We would definitely like to stay here again some time. It's very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. It is a great place to come to get away from it all in a rural village full of flowers. We would recommend it to people who like peace and quiet and do not want any night-life on their doorstep. It is not far from Kranska Gora by car if you want more touristy type shops and facilities and it's great for walking and cycling.

We were travelling in Slovenia without our own car and we were surprised, how easy and cheap it was to get everywhere by bus. The apartment we had chosen was even better than we expected. It was well-located and clean, everything worked without problems. And the view! From every window we could watch the mountains and wonder, if this really is true or not. Even thoug the village was small, we could buy food or eat in a restaurant there. For party animals we would probably recommend another destination, at least in summer. But for an active (sport) holiday the village with its surroundings is a perfect choice. No doubt, we´ll surely recommend this place for everyone looking for an adventure in an unbelievable nature and close to the local people. For one week we didn´t feel like "normal" tourists, but like part of the life this nice village.

I was thoroughly impressed with Vila Planina. We rented the ground and first floor apartments, which provided very clean, modern, and comfortable accomodation. The quaint farm village of Ratece was stunning and our proximity to Kranskja Gora (7km, 10 minute drive), Lake Bled (30 minute drive), and Ljubljana (1 hr drive) was just perfect. I highly reccommend this villa to anyone seeking an authentic Slovenian, country-side experience with great access to all the major sites. I also found Think Slovenia to be extremely helpful, accomodating, and an overall pleasure to work with.

Wonderful place to pass your hollidays.. grate time... near the best ski center of Kranjska Gora.. Near to Tarvisio.. Near to Villach... great places to wisit arround during the day, sleaping always at the same place... lot of fun.. relaxing and very clean place... So kind people... I had so great time only in Villa Planina in Ratece, easy to reach, great to stay in.. Thanks again for the great time you made us have. Marina from Italy

Location is excellent for cyclists, close to cycling way. The village Rateče is very nice and quite. We were family with two kids (7 and 9 years), definatelly can recommend it. Many other attractions are nearby (Lago Fusine, Zelenci, Mangart, Kranjska Gora, Planica, Dreiländereck, asw.). Thank you
