Konaki Guesthouse

Big, spacious, comfortable and wonderful hosts Nikos and Anna. House has got everything we needed and even more. We were in Ormos with a bigger group of friends (~15 people, half kids, half adilts) and have met several times on the property - both the kids and adults were enjoying the huge garden and outside kitchen. Supermarket is very near, beach is a bit farther away which was not an issue since it's beautiful. Hosts were always available when we needed them and helped with every topic we've had.

I will struggle with negatives - it is difficult to find minuses with this property. Someone might find the beach too far away (~12min by foot), but this someone is not us :) We've read about people complaining about privacy due to hosts being on-site: this was in fact a positive, since hosts could not have respected our privacy more and they were extremely helpful so this was not an issue for us. As I said, I'm really struggling to find a negative point...

The guest-house is beautiful and really clean, rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The air conditioning is in every room and works very well. The furnished kitchen outside with the BBQ facility is a must and is the place where we spent most of the time. Nikos and Anna were great hosts and made us feel like home. They provided us with a new cot for the baby and were always keen to help, also because they live in a caravan few meters away from the house, in the same garden. The garden is huge and kids can play there safely while adults can relax on the hammock. We really appreciated that there were mosquito nets on all the windows and that the house is all on one floor, so no stairs to climb :)

Being a family of four people, the main shortage was the lack of a dishwasher. Wi-Fi coverage is good outside but rather poor in the bedrooms. If you have small kids you need to drive to reach the closest beach (Livrohio/Trani Ammouda - 1km) as the road is very dusty (muddy after rain). Tap water is not drinkable and there are many mosquitoes outside at the sunset. I want to mention these issues for the benefit of families that are visiting Sithonia with small kids as I heard these are common problems everywhere in the peninsula, not only at Konaki.

We enjoyed the house, the yard, the outdoor kitchen, it's very pleasant for a family vacation. The owners were very nice and friendly.

We stayed in August, and it was very hot, it would have been nice to have airco. Also, a car is needed for shopping and restaurants.

The location and the house are very beautiful, large yard, maintained and Nikos is a good host who can guide you with anything you need. Superb terrace where you can relax after a sunny day with a glass of wine from the house.
