Exceptional staying in Bologna!

One of the beat booking experiences I had so far. Giulio is thoughtful, he received us at the door, gave us a map and lots of instructions and recommendations to eat. The property was extremely clean and comfortable, exactly like or even better than photos. You can see that there’s a lot of care and intention on his hosting as it feels like home away from home. We had an upgrade to a bigger apartment with kitchen. I didn’t understand exactly why but asked Giulio and he confirmed it was correct. Location is great, walking distance from everything.

Met by Giulio at the door, he is an enthusiastic man and very kind with some great details and instructions around the property and surrounding areas. The property was quaint and authentic, in the centre of Bologna. In a beautiful building, we were treated to a true Bologna experience, with cast iron gates in the building too. The property was well-secured and safe. The bed was so comfortable and the property was spotless. The bathroom was gorgeous with some lovely tiling and a nice clean shower which had great temperature and water pressure.

All was great. The air quality in the city wasn’t great so we struggled in that regard in this type of building, however this is no fault of the owner and we highly recommend the room!

So big, so clean and Guliamo is an amazing host!

Guliamo was so amazing, so helpful, we could make an earlier check in, location is in walking distance to everything, apartment is huge and in Bologna style - high ceilings, beautiful, we come back for sure!

So noisy!

6-7 min. Walk to piazza maggiore

Too much noise inside the building as if you are living at the same home. You can easily hear other rooms and people living in the building. They start at 7am so you can’t sleep at your holiday. If you are planning a long stay keep in mind.

Massive apartment, really really enjoyed our stay here. Sofia met us at the agreed waiting time with the keys and showed us around and gave lots of recommendations. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom with its walk in shower was brilliant. Great location, 10 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. We LOVED Bologna but only had 2 nights. We will return one day and we will definitely stay here again.

This doesn't effect our score of the property, however we travelled with our 4 year old daughter. The mezzanine bedroom area with its stairs up to it aren't particularly safe for small children, it could do with extra protection up the staircase and on the mezzanine edge.

Great location in central Bologna, but some upgrades are needed

The central location was very useful for our stay in Bologna. I was attending a language school for the week, and it was no more than 10 minutes walk from Apartmento Pratello. The bed was large and very comfortable.

Apartmenti Pratello is in an historic building (I think), certainly very old. The key issue is that both the bathroom and kitchen are in urgent need of an upgrade to justify the fee, almost EUR 1000 for a one week stay. One cannot change the narrowness of both rooms, but they could each benefit from modern fittings.

Perfect little weekend trip!

The property was beautiful and right in the city centre! The man who worked there was extremely helpful and even left us Italian coffee and cold water in the fridge! Could not fault it and would definitely stay here again! Such good value for money

Bologna Stay

Excellent location, close to the main square. Sofia the host was very friendly. Bed was comfortable and a nice cold bottle of water was waiting for us in the fridge, much appreciated in the July heat!

Balcony door was a little tricky to close but not a major issue because it's a private balcony.

Unusual apartment in the heart of Bologna

The apartment is great, spacious and extraordinary. It is something more than just a normal flat, it takes you back to the previous times. It is located very central, close to the main attractions of the city, with lost of good restaurants nearby. Even it is central it is quiet at night. The landlord is very helpful, nice and always ready to give you a good piece of advice. Very good communication with the owner. His recommendations of restarants were very good. I would definitely recommemnd this place either to a family or a group of friends to stay in Bologna and feel the unusual atmosphere of the city. I would like to come back to this place once I am in Bologna!

The location of the property was perfect, also the Italian ambience really spoke to us.

The noises when people get in the to apartment complex moving to their own apartment, this was quite noisy, especially at night.

The location was very good and not accessible by cars but only a 1 minute walk from the main road where the taxi left us. In the evening, especially at the weekend, the road gets crowded, because of a few street bars and trattorias, however the buzz doesn' t reach the room, which is very quiet. Our room was located on the first floor with the ensuite bathroom, it was spacious and comfortable with a little terrace, convenient for a short and long stay. The room offers a comfy bed, wardrobe, a library corner with few books, a sofa with TV, a small kitchenette with fridge and a coffee maker. Clean and fresh towels were provided. The landlord Giulio is a very kind person, gave us a full explaination on location, room facilities and how to reach our target site. He also kindly waited for our late check-in, which we really appreciated as not many landlords would do. We loved the place, the location and will definitely use it again for future visits.

The room was located on the first floor, perhaps not ideally for someone with foot or knee injury like me. Although, I have to say it was bereable. Found it particularly handy the staircase handrail. Anyway, Giulio does have a ground floor rooms as well. On the overall excellent experience we had, one minor point could added an extra star to our stay. As we are a coffee lovers some coffee pods and teas would have been a plus. Although, some coffee pods were provided, they were not enough for our stay, and being used to wake up and drink our espresso we missed that.

Various locations for breakfast within 200m, excellent location. Apartment LARGE AND SPACIOUS. air conditioning and Internet worked well—some Stations on TV also in English which was great.

There did not seem to be a lift available, and there were a lot of stairs, which I had no problem with but may be problems for other guests. Tidy up the entrance hall.

Location, size of appartment, decoration was very good. The host met us on arrival and fully expained everything and made us feel welcome.

It was a bit dark during the day but that is understandable because the the appartment was in the heart of the city.

Comfortable and cozy room with great balcony close to the city centre.

- good location close to the centre, but not inside the hustle and bustle - spacious room and bathroom - great balcony, perfect to relax and have a wine - nice building - nice welcome - several locked doors to get to the room, so pretty safe - the room can be made completely dark, great for a good rest - quiet - comfy bed - good wifi

- even though we only had a room with a fridge, coffee maker and kettle, some more cutlery for a small breakfast or such would have been great - a tad more toiletries would also be great

Appartment was clean and airconditioning worked very well. Location is great, most of the city center is only a 5-10 minite walk. Even the other edge of the centre is only 20 minites walking. The host recommended us some nice restaurants as well.

Lovely apartment in a great location

Cozy apartment equipped with the necessary items. The location is great! Tastefully decorated. The air-con is powerful. The coffee machine is good! The apartment has basic toiletries and kitchen supplies.

The house lacks natural light, so when we were at home in the afternoons to avoid the heat, it was quite somber and dark. A smart TV (with access to Netflix etc.) would be quite useful. The sofa bed is not very comfortable. The mattress is too thin.

Kitchen set up not very good. No dishcloth or kitchen paper provided so had to use toilet paper to wipe stuff. Plates, cutlery and pots were in heavy vintage cabinets and drawers which were beautiful to look at but difficult to open and close. Shower cubicle was very small and needed a soap/shampoo rack.

The location is amazing, the host was super friendly and storaged our bags for the day. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfy.

We were staying in the room overlooking the inner courtyard and the sounds of the air conditioning running in the other rooms was quite loud.

It was a lovely stay in Bologna!

Very spacious and close to the center, with a pretty big and functional kitchen. The host was very kind and helpful, as he was quick to respond to our questions and let us keep the luggage in the building on the day we left.

Kitchen could do with a couple more bits, like a chopping board for example.

Perfect location. The apartment was huge and very clean. The sheets were good and the host was amazing and very helpful. He even booked a table for us in a great place. Wasn't touristy.

My one complaint was that there were no reachable outlets near the bed.

Great place

Clean, warm and spacious apartment, situated in the centre of Bologna, just a few minutes from the main landmarks. The host Giulio was very kind and helpful. We had perfect espresso and lots of kitchenware at our disposal.

The place itself is in a quiet street but very noisy from the other tenants in the building and the wooden floors and heavy doors in the apartment and the neighbours. You can hear every step and every door opening. Not recommended for light sleepers like me.
