About this apartment rental
It is located in the best and safest spot for spearfishing in the area; the 90 square meters are modern and charming, fully furnished, with hardwood floors, ideal for a couple or a group of people who get along well. Dining with a view. Free private parking and free Wi-Fi. You can walk to the rocky beach along a nature trail.
The separate units are part of Villa Amaras and consist of an open-concept space on the first floor, featuring a spacious bedroom and a large terrace with beautiful views of Mount Etna and the Mediterranean Sea. Ideal for 2 people, thanks to the extra sofas in the living room, the space can accommodate up to 6 people. There is a bathroom with a tub/shower and a large kitchen equipped with everything you need. Everything is brand new.
We have a sweet black dog named Asia who lives on the first floor. She’s friendly and welcoming—we hope you don’t mind her.
AMARAS is a 5-minute drive from the fishing village of Brucoli and the beautiful Megarian town of Augusta. The seaside villa is situated in one of the quietest and most elegant residential areas of the Augusta region.
The northern coastal area of Augusta, where the house is located, is characterized by towering cliffs—among the most beautiful in Sicily— alternating with pristine rocky beaches situated in the middle of a rocky cove where salt and the force of the water have formed walls creating jagged coastal cliffs similar to the fjords of Northern Europe, as well as deep underwater caves (the exploration of which is recommended only for those with some experience in underwater exploration). It should be noted that all of Sicily’s eastern cliffs are best visited early in the morning, allowing you to admire the spectacular Ionian sunset. Vetrano is the fjord where the house is located; it is quiet and ideal for spearfishing.
Don’t miss the rocky SBARCATORE beach: take a 10-minute walk along the rocks to enjoy the view and the clear water, and you’ll definitely want to come back. There’s a charming lighthouse 3 km away in the area. Ask for “Il Faro” or “Sant’Elena,” and everyone will show you the way—don’t miss a visit, whether by day or night.
Even though the nearest sandy beach is “Agnone” (which leads north to Sant’Elena in eastern Sicily, Catania), I’d suggest avoiding it (it’s dirty and there’s a risk of theft) and driving south either on the SS 114 or the highway toward the more beautiful “Fontanebianche” and “La Marchesa” south of Syracuse, “Eloro,” “Vendicari,” and “San Lorenzo” (my favorite) south of Noto.

Spacious apartment, ideally located to explore the eastside of Sicily. Excellent communication with the friendly host, Nadia. Supermarket nearby. Easily and without hesitation recommendable.

Nadia was amazing. So very accomodating to our travel plans! We were only two adults, and the apartment was spacious....nice after a day in Augusta. The weather did not allow us to take advantage of the location by the seas, but I can imagine on a clear day that the walk down the path would be amazing!

Clean and spacious apartment in a quiet and exclusive area next to the sea.We stayed for 2 weeks at Nadia’s place, and it was the best decision! Very close to Syracuse and Catania. There is a big supermarket around the corner. Communication was very good. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Nadia’s apartment was wonderful! She was not able to greet us in person but was readily available and always responsive through WhatsApp. The property is behind a locked gate and overlooks the sea. The kitchen had everything we could want to prepare meals, including oil, salt, vinegar, etc. we hardly had to buy anything. She even provided coffee, sugar, and milk. Also, if you want an elegant seafood dinner, go to the restaurant she recommended in Brucoli called Al Castello. Aside from the elegant setting and delicious food, the wait staff were quite helpful. There was only one drawback at the apartment, and that was the fact that there was construction right next door, making some daytime noise. But by the evening and on the weekend, the construction crews were gone.
