Hexham apartment

The location was excellent, it is only 5 minute walk to the centre of town where there are shops, pubs restaurants, cafes and a cinema as well as Hexham abbey, the apartment was comfortable and had everything you would need for your stay.

Not much room to get round the bed in the main bedroom, especially for older people, had to climb over the bed in the 2nd bedroom to open the curtains as bed is too big for the room, on the site it states there is a dvd player but there was not, we specifically took some dvds with us to relax at night so that was disappointing.

Nice apartment near the town centre

We loved the location, it's only a 10 mins walk into Hexham. The apartment is clean and modern.

We think it could do with a proper smart TV to access streaming services. There's only a Sky Box. There's no dedicated parking on the road outside, so there's no guarantee that you can park outside. Could do with some pint glasses. There's loads of other glasses. Could do with a guest book so visitors can write their own recommendations.

Nice relaxing stay in good location.

Location: Very central for town centre. Able to park. Accomm: Very quiet, warm, comfy bed, WiFi, nice kitchen

The sitting room sofa! Ok but wouldn’t be suitable for older guests as it’s too low, too deep and not comfy at all. Shower room was clean but very tired - paintwork needs doing as it looks dirty -could be off putting. No lamp in bedroom- instead there’s a small torch!

A comfortable flat if you don't mind sitting at a breakfast bar for all your meals.

Location was excellent for exploring Hexham on foot, so we could walk to restaurants and pubs in the evening. Parking was easy, but expect it would be difficult in high season. Beds were comfortable and kitchen modern and well equipped.

Lighting in the lounge was very poor, making reading difficult, especially in the evenings. Shower didn't work for first two days, as thermostat needed replacing, and vent axia was broken so bathroom got very steamy.

Home from home. Lovely and welcoming

Felt like home. Very welcoming. Kitchen fabulous with a high standard of kitchen items. Staff are so helpful and kind. Two guys came out Saturday evening to fix a boiler issue so we would be warm and cosy. Thanks so much. Great location: 10 mins to town. Hexham very well catered for in terms of shops; some nice eateries too. Countryside beautiful. Weather was kind!

Lovely place to spend a few days

Great location, spacious kitchen, good bathroom.

Kitchen would benefit from a few more cups and a spatula. More lamps in bedroom and sitting room would also be good. These are very minor points though!

Great apartment in a fab location

Good apartment. Great location. Fab kitchen, shame we only had cereal and coffee in it.

The main bed wasn’t comfy. I slept in the second bedroom. I know there was a warning about the large step at the top of the stairs but I still fell both up and down it regularly. Also, there should be a notice telling you not to change the shower temperature otherwise you get scalded.

Perfect as base for exploring the area

The location; quiet but within easy walking distance of the park, the abbey, the little city center and the supermarkets. The appartment itself with its color scheme and quirky details, the kitchen and the deck for lounging outside. The mattrasses are dippy in the middle though and the huge sofa is too comfy; its hard to get out of it ;-) Parking is easily found on the street outside.

Very nice comfortable apartment in the heart of Hexham - perfect for our walking holiday.

The location was perfect - very central and handy for pubs/ eateries and the market as well as beautiful Abbey gardens.

A tiny quibble was that there was no bedside light for me in the bunk bedroom.

Main double bed too soft for us, both suffering with bad backs. Could only get main 5 channels on TV? But might have been us not using properly but couldn't find any instructions for TV. Not a massive issue as out mostly.

They allowed us an earlier check in.

The smell was horrendous in the apartment. My family and I aired the house out but only lasted 3 hours before we packed up and left. We informed the host as we left and they refused a refund because we didn’t call them while we where there to rectify the issue? Not sure how you would rectify a smelly wet dog stench. They continuously denied the smell even though they made a trip to the apartment 12+ hours later. Oh, and their cleaner couldn’t smell it either. Essentially insinuating that I was a liar. We booked 3 nights and lost over $600. Appalling customer service.

The outdoor area/barbecue area was a special treat, as the weather was ideal (second day). The kitchen/diner was spacious and ideal for our needs; a walk in shower is always a bonus. The location ensured we could walk into town and access the local park.

The TV was not working in the bedroom, but it was not an issue for us.

A comfortable and classy stay in a serene apartment close to everything I needed.

Very nicely equipped kitchen with full sized refrigerator, gas stove, ample pots, pans, and utensils, and a sunny kitchen bar at which to eat. Living room had the most comfortable sofa for morning news reads and coffee, beds were comfortable with nice linens. The entire apartment was sparkling clean. One of my favorite things was the wonderful shower which had great water pressure, a LOT of hot water, heated tile floors, and a towel warmer. I looked forward to showering each morning because it felt so luxurious! I couldn't have been more happy with the location which was on a quiet one-way street within quick walking distance of pubs and convenience stores. The larger grocery stores and train station were a slightly longer trek, but very manageable as they weren't daily destinations.

There were a couple of very small things that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the apartment: The house key was not a type with which we're familiar in the US where I live. Thus, I spent about 30 minutes the first day trying to figure out how to open the door, and then later how to relock it before I went to dinner. A few explanatory lines on the check in information could have solved this and would be my recommendation. I couldn't find the clothes drying rack mentioned until the last day when I discovered it behind the boxed artificial Christmas tree in the wardrobe. It might make sense to have it more prominent as it is more likely to be used than the Christmas tree. I never could find a hairdryer so wasn't able to wash my hair while I was there. I may have just missed it, but I looked pretty closely.
