About this villa rental
Beautiful House with two apartments in quiet central location, only 500m from the wonderful sandy beach of Kalamaki, which is ideal for bathing, and 5km to the west of the city of Chania. The spacious apartment at the ground floor offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a modern and tastefully furnished living/dining area featuring a fitted kitchen with all modern facilities. There is direct access from the apartment to the garden, which has a separate pool area and barbecue. The separate apartment at the upper floor offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room leads out onto the large terrace with sea views. The private garden with wonderful surroundings such as large pool, separate children's pool, sunbeds, sun umbrellas and garden furniture, a barbecue area, a perfect lawn, a wide variety of fruit trees, cypresses and herbage providing shade during the hot periods of the year. Almost all year round, you can pick fresh fruits directly from the garden. Its a place just to feel like home. The house is fully air conditioned

A family holiday for 14 of us ranging from my mum, 87 and disabled to teenaged. The villa was perfect for us all. Esther and Nico were perfect, charming hosts. The villa is a short walk to a lovely selection of restaurants and beaches, and the bus to Chania old town stops outside the villa. Would definitely recommend this holiday villa and I look forward to returning.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The rooms in the house and the pool are even nicer and larger than they appear on the VRBO website! And we couldn’t have asked for a better host! Esther went above and beyond in helping us plan our visit, including meeting us at the house for the check-in.

We stayed at Villa Asteri for our week-long vacation this year as we do every couple of years - all 14 of us: grandparents, 3 daughters, their husbands and 7 grandchildren. We found the description of the villa accurate, the villa was immaculately clean (and was cleaned once during our stay); the owners very hospitable who did everything to attend all our needs and to make our stay memorable. Esther, the owner, guidance to places which we could tour was also very helpful. The large pool, the garden and the BBQ were all used by us on a daily basis. We also enjoyed the relative short distance to the sea. We have already recommended the place to some of our friends and will do so in the future.
If there was a down side to the villa it is its location in a village that was not as beautiful as the village close to the villa we rented a couple of years ago – the village of Elunda on the eastern side of Crete.
Villa Estari is definitely a place to go for a vacation of a large family!
