About this villa rental

A haven of peace between the Cévennes and the gorges of the Ardèche. The house is located 5 km from the medieval village of Barjac and 20 minutes from Vallon Pont D'arc. Ideal for spending a peaceful holiday, while being close to the lively villages of Ardèche and Gard.
Away from civilization, you can rest by the saltwater swimming pool (10m / 4m secure) with shower and outdoor toilet, surrounded by hills planted with trees not overlooked.
Just 10 minutes by bike, by a path that leaves from the house you can access one of the last isolated beaches of the Cèze (photo attached).
The house has air conditioning, 4 bedrooms (3 beds of 160 and 1 of 180), 2 bathrooms, 2 WCs, an equipped kitchen open to a large living room of 35 m2, 2 shaded terraces and a plot of 2000m2.
Towels, bath towels and sheets are provided.
Cleaning is included.

We have just returned home after an amazing two weeks in this beautiful villa. Everything exactly as described, super clean, perfect for the full family including 2 dogs. The host maintained excellent communication with clear check in instructions plus other advice on local activities. The house and pool were just fabulous - there was everything we could possibly need from pool towels, washing machine, outdoor grill area, poolside toilet and shower and air conditioning which we were very thankful for. The pool area and garden was 100% secure so ideal for families with young children and pets. Would highly recommend this villa and host.

We had the most relaxing stay at this lovely villa. We were a family of 8 across three generations. The setting is delightful. Down a cobbled road just outside a little hamlet, yet 6mins drive to the lovely village of Barjac which has a wonderful boulangerie, ice cream shop, cafes and a great little supermarket with fabulous fresh meat. The highlight was the walk to the river (under 2k from the house down a cobbled lane - walk in 30ish mins or take the bikes for extra fun. The river is truly magical. We spent many an hour here skimming stones, building a dam, swimming in the water. Magical. The villa has absolutely everything you would need which makes it a perfect home from home. We would throw up the windows and eat alfresco every night. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Lots of dining options in Barjac and we tried a restaurant twice - super friendly with our pigeon french! The pool was perfect. Only annoyance was the wasps that came out in the afternoon my son got stung a couple of times, but that’s something you have to live with at that time of year (end of Aug). Bring some mozzie coils or get some at the supermarket. Communications were responsive and helpful. Can’t speak highly enough of this property and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful two weeks here with the perfect property, pool, gardens and beautiful surroundings. The house was clean, very well set up, AC and wonderful showers. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need and great bbq too. The pool is the perfect size and enclosed garden wonderful for our dog. There is lots to do in the surrounding area with lovely villages and towns and Barjac has a great Friday morning market, wonderful bakers and lovely restaurants and bars. So many water activities and wild swimming in the area too. Karine was the perfect host and we couldn’t have asked for more. Really hope to return - a beautiful spot, quiet haven and ideal pool with opportunities to do as much or as little as you’d like on your holiday. Couldn’t ask for more.

A beautiful spot, great pool and comfortable house. Everything you could need was there including a great BBQ. Location was really peaceful and secluded and lots to do nearby including the fantastic market in Barjac. Air con was a blessing in the heat. Highly recommend.

Lovely villa and pool in quiet location. The air conditioning was very welcome and was very quiet and unobtrusive. The salt water pool was wonderful. Close to neighbouring villages for food shopping and a great market on Friday. All in all we had a lovely holiday.

The pictures do not do justice to how totally perfect the house is... it is everything you could wish for in a holiday home, every comfort and amenity is catered for , the swimming pool was wonderful, perfect with young children and the area around it so thoughtfully designed even if you didn't go out you would be happy to lounge here for days, Communication with the owners was a pleasure and their care just made everything complete they are not on site but the cousin lives nearby and could not be more helpful if you needed anything . Also there is a beautiful natural beach and river directly at the end of the road where the property is which was really lovely and very picturesque. The local town is amazing and we ate in many restaurants and had the most delicious meals everytime not to mention the friendliness of the locals. Vallon pont d'arc is just on your doorstep and we enjoyed the beaches and kayaking there immensely. By the end of our stay we did not want to leave and were very sad, we will definitely be booking to go back as soon as possible 😊

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour. La maison est bien équipée, spacieuse avec de belles terrasses. L’endroit est très très calme. Il y a un bon boucher à 7 min en voiture (chez James) et une excellente plancha près de la piscine ;). Location idéale pour visiter d’adorables villages médiévaux, les innombrables grottes de la région, etc. Nous recommandons vivement ! Merci Karine :)

Cocon niché en pleine nature, cette propriété, est située au calme sans nuisance sonore. Qu'il est bon de paresser au bord de la piscine où sous les mûriers à écouter le chant des oiseaux, descendre tranquillement barboter au bord de la rivière, la faune y est visible tôt le matin. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison de Karine et nous y retournerons volontiers ! La grande terrasse et les différents espaces extérieurs (ombre ou soleil, à table ou dans des salons de jardin) sont très agréables et nous avons y avons passé la majeure partie de notre séjour. La piscine chauffée est super et les environs très tranquilles. La cuisine est très bien équipé (le four peut paraitre petit sur les photos, mais il chauffe comme un "vrai" four :) ). La mise a disposition d'un lit parapluie et d'une chaise haute nous a beaucoup aidé et est très pratique. Nous recommandons !

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Hausdame Estelle empfangen und in die Details des Häuschens eingewiesen. Alles war sehr ordentlich gereinigt und vermittelte einen einladenden sauberen Eindruck. Genügend Badetücher wurden großzügig zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet um einen perfekten Sommerurlaub genießen zu können. Die Küche ist offen zum Ess,- und Wohnbereich und verfügt über einen großen Kühlschrank mit Eisfach. Kochgeräte sind ausreichend vorhanden. Das Sofa bietet bequem Platz für zwei Personen und am Esstisch können 6 Personen entspannt sitzen. Auf der sehr großen Terrasse im Außenbereich und vor dem Pool sitzen 8 Personen entspannt bei schöner Aussicht in den Garten und zum höher gelegenen Dorf Avéjan. Der Pool ist so bemessen, dass man sich gut darin abkühlen kann. An beiden Poolenden kann man gemütlich auf den Erhöhungen durch Treppen im Wasser Platz nehmen. Durch eine ausziehbare Plane schützt man den Pool vor Verdunstung und verhindert, dass all zu viele Tiere wie Frösche und Skorpione darin ertrinken können, was ich sehr gut finde. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und die wenigen Nachbarn sind freundlich und ebenfalls sehr ruhig. Ein perfektes Domizil um sich zu erholen. Wir reisten mit Hund an, der sich sehr wohl gefühlt hat in dieser herrlichen Landschaft. Wer ebenfalls mit Hund anreisen sollte, muss darauf achten, dass dieser außerhalb des Hauses angeleint sein sollte, da es unglaublich viele Wildschweine gibt und entsprechend schießfreudige Jäger. Oberhalb des Hauses befindet sich ein gigantisches Refugium nur für Jäger. Das Haus können wir uneingeschränkt für 4-5 Personen empfehlen (Familie) auch wenn es 8 Schlafplätze ( 4 Doppelbetten) gibt. Zwei Badezimmer mit Duschen und WC stehen im Innenbereich den Gästen zur Verfügung. Ein drittes WC und eine Kaltdusche im Außenbereich. Internet und WLAN stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung und ist ausreichend für gelegentliches Kommunizieren mit der Außenwelt. Ganz herzlichen Dank Madame Vieira und Estelle, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Voilà une maison coup de cœur. On s’y est senti merveilleusement bien. Très fonctionnelle et conforme aux photos et descriptif. Nous avons apprécié chaque recoin de la maison et chaque endroit pour s’y prélasser avec un petit rosé ou une grillade sur la super plancha. Calme et sans vis-à-vis, c’est ce que nous recherchions. Les escaliers sont un peu raides à la descente pour qui n’est pas habitué. Très bon contact avec Mme Viera qui a été très compréhensive et arrangeante avant et pendant le séjour en cette période sanitaire particulière. Le chauffage à venir dans la piscine sera un vrai plus pour les début/fin de saison. Nous retournerons volontiers dans cette maison décorée simplement mais avec goût. Même notre petit chien ne voulait plus rentrer! Bonne continuation.

Wunderbares Haus zwischen Ardèche und Pont du Gard

Wir, eine Familie mit 3 Kindern (5, 7 u. 9 Jahre alt) haben 2 Wochen Urlaub in diesem schönen Haus gemacht. Das Haus bietet alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Der große Salzwasserpool wurde von uns allen heiß geliebt und wir haben viel Zeit darin verbracht – unser Jüngster hat in dieser Zeit dort Schwimmen gelernt. Die Klimaanlage wussten wir – besonders abends vor dem Schlafengehen - auch sehr zu schätzen. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und hat ein nicht einsehbares Grundstück. Zum Einkaufen sind wir hauptsächlich in die Supermärkte in den größeren Städten der Umgebung gefahren, wenn wir eh unterwegs waren (z.B. in St. Ambroix). Ansonsten sind auch ein Bäcker, ein Metzger u. ein kleiner Supermarkt im Ort mit dem Fahrrad gut zu erreichen, oder man kann im Nachbarort einkaufen. Die Strecke runter zum Flussbett der Cèze (ca. 2 km entfernt) ist mit dem Auto sehr abenteuerlich, aber wir haben auch dort eine schöne Zeit verbracht. Vormittags hat man die kleine Badestelle quasi für sich allein. Ein Allrad- oder Geländewagen schadet nicht, obwohl die Ortskundigen mit normalen Fahrzeuge hinfahren. Bei Fragen stand uns jemand vor Ort jederzeit hilfreich zur Seite, und wir konnten uns gut mit ihr verständigen. Wie überall in Frankreich sollte man allerdings nicht darauf setzen, dass Englisch oder Deutsch gesprochen wird. Ein prima Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Haus! Vielen Dank!!!

Séjour très agréable dans cette maison; elle est très fonctionnelle. Nous étions 7: 3 couples et une personne seule, et la répartition des chambres et des deux salles de bain permet vraiment une bonne intimité. La maison était tout à fait conforme aux photos du site. Elle est aménagée dans une ambiance claire, zen, et de couleurs douces et reposantes. Rien ne manque comme équipement: machine à laver la vaisselle et le linge, four et four à micro onde, plaque de cuisson, et surtout un gros réfrigérateur!! très pratique quand on est nombreux!!! La vaisselle est en grande quantité, pas de soucis pour 8 personnes!! L'endroit est calme, mais en même temps à deux pas de Barjac et à 10 minutes de toutes commodités. La Cèze est à 2 km de la maison, avec un charmant chemin qui y descend. Nous étions à Avéjan en pleine chaleur mais nous n'avons jamais souffert de la chaleur: la belle piscine et surtout la climatisation dans la maison étaient tout à fait bienvenues!!! Au total, nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour, je vous recommande très expressément cette propriété si vous voulez séjourner en Gard/ Ardèche, vous ne serez pas déçus!!!

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Avéjan. De woning is functioneel en smaakvol ingericht. Met name de badkamers. Voldoende keukeninventaris, we kwamen niets tekort. Het buitenmeubilair is helemaal top! Een heerlijke loungeset en ligbedden bij het zwembad onder het afdak en een lange tafel waaraan je s avonds heel lang kunt zitten..... Het zwembad is lekker ruim en verkoelend. Aan het eind van de weg, zo’n half uur lopen, heb je een privestrandje aan de Ceze. Ook heerlijk voor de hond om af te koelen. Rondom het huis zijn leuke wandelingen te maken, maar ook iets verder weg hebben we heerlijk gelopen. Bijvoorbeeld bij de Concluses en la Roque sur Ceze (cascade du Sautadet) Barjac (10min met de auto) is een leuk middeleeuws plaatsje en op een kwartiertje rijden daarvan ligt Vallon Pont d’Arc en beginnen de gorges d’Ardeche. Wat wil een mens nog meer...?

Perfekte Familienerholung zwischen hübschen Dörfern und an der Cèze

Wir haben zwei wunderbare, erholsame Wochen mit zwei Familien in diesem schönen Haus verbracht. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin verlief jederzeit sehr unkompliziert und schnell. Das Haus ist für acht Personen sehr gut und geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Wir haben jeden Tag selbst gekocht oder gegrillt - auch dafür ist alles vorhanden. Wir waren mit vier kleinen Kindern vor Ort - da waren Spülmaschine und Geschirrspüler besonders praktisch. Auch die Ausstattung mit Handtüchern und Bettzeug ist ein guter Service. Im August wussten wir auch die Klimaanlage zu schätzen, um die Zimmer vorm Schlafen etwas runterzukühlen. Die Treppe nach oben ist tatsächlich recht steil, hier sollte man mit ganz kleinen Kindern vorsichtig sein. Besonders für Familien wichtig: Der Salzwasserpool (10x4m, ca. 1,50 tief) ist gut gesichert, so dass man auch mit Kleinkindern eine entspannte Zeit verbringen kann. Unsere Kinder haben das Wasser geliebt!! Draußen gibt es auch eine separate Toilette und eine Kaltwasserdusche sowie etwas Badespielzeug und genug Liegen und Ruheplätze für alle. Wir waren außerdem mehrfach an der Cèze, direkt am Ende der Straße. Die Badestelle ist sehr schön und vor allem absolut ruhig, nur von Ortsansässigen genutzt. Zu Fuß waren wir mit den Kindern und geländegängigem Buggy ca. 30 Minuten auf der Schotterstraße unterwegs. Tipp: Strandmuschel oder Sonnenhüte mitnehmen, es gibt wenig Schatten - dann ist es herrlich. Wer einen 4x4 hat, kann auch Autofahren, nach dem letzten Unwetter ist der Weg allerdings sehr holperig. Im kleinen Dorf gibt es einen Bäcker und einen Mini-Supermarkt mit Depot de Pain, eine Metzgerei sowie sonntags einen kleinen Markt. Alles weitere gibt es im sehr hübschen Ort Barjac (ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto), ein großer Intermarché ist in St. Ambroix (20 Minuten). Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und Ausflüge u.a. zur Grotte de la Salamandre (beeindruckend!) und zum Pont du Gard (überlaufen, trotzdem toll) unternommen. Fazit: Wer den Trubel eher scheut und Ruhe, wunderschöne Natur und typisches Dorfleben sucht, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben! Wir empfehlen das Haus sehr gerne weiter. Wie dit huis zal huren zal het zeker niet beklagen! De woning ligt op een rustige plaats met een mooi uitzicht! Je kan er genieten in alle rust aan het zwembad, op de terras of in de lounge. We werden vriendelijk verwelkomt door de nicht van eigenares die ons meteen een rondleiding gaf met telkens de nodige uitleg over de bv. Airconditioning, de televisie, de wifi, het zwembad,... handdoeken werden mooi voorzien bij aankomst voor de badkamer en het zwembad. Net als de bedden die al waren opgemaakt zodat we zorgeloos aan de vakantie konden beginnen. Het huis lag rustig gelegen maar toch niet ver van winkels, restaurants,... op het einde van de weg kon je ook te voet (20 min) tot aan het strandje gelegen aan de rivier de Ceze. Wij zullen hopelijk in de toekomst nog terugkeren naar deze woning. We hebben er echt van genoten! De eigenares is ook super behulpzaam, je kan haar gerust mailen en verschillende dingen vragen over de omgeving en dergelijke.

Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, es sind hier 4 Klimageräte vorhanden, 4 Schlafzimmer, zwei schöne Bäder und zwei WCs. Die zum Wohnzimmer offene Küche ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Die oberen Räume erreicht man über eine steile Treppe. Der Bereich um den Salzwasserpool ist eingezäunt, das restliche Grundstück ist offen. Im Poolbereich gibt es noch ein zusätzliches WC und eine Kaltwasserdusche. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr ländlich gelegen.Wer mal richtig entspannen will, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Die Natur herum ist einmalig. Man erreicht in ~ 3km Entfernung einen wunderschönen Flusslauf in dem man toll baden und die Natur pur erleben kann. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants gibt es in Barjac. Uns, zwei Familien mit zwei Kindern und einem Hund hat es hier sehr gut gefallen! Kommen gerne mal wieder!

Si vous voulez profiter du confort d'une très belle maison renovee récemment dans une région magnifique et verdoyante tout en étant dans le calme de la campagne ardechoise, c'est l'endroit rêvé. La maison est super équipée, climatisée et très accueillante. La piscine est magnifique et sécurisée. La localisation est parfaite , entre petits villages typiques et sites touristiques réputés. De plus, l'accueil et le contact avec les propriétaires est très sympa et convivial. Nous y reviendrons certainement.
