Stylish Georgian Town House in the heart of Salisbury

We stayed here over the weekend to be close to Thruxton Circuit for the British Touring Car Championship and Thruxton Kart racing. The home was lovely and met our families needs well. It was in walking distance of everything in Salisbury. The host was great, and even had some food staples to welcome us in the kitchen. We would love to stay here again!

We loved the central location. The owner was very quick to respond to messages. The house was very clean, well equiped and although large was comfortable and cosy due to careful choice of furnishings and decor. It felt like a home not just another holiday let. We would use it again!!

Our group of four 70ish adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, attractive home close to the city center. Spacious with three bedrooms. Perfect for our group.

Amazing stay in this beautiful Georgian house. It was very well equipped and there was added bonus on arrival, as there were the essential for anyone’s stay. Lois was very helpful and dealt with last minute vehicle changes. All in all we had a fantastic time and we have booked again for next year.

This home is lovely. Decorated beautifully. Comfortable. Convenient to the Chapter House for great food. Lois provided us with some breakfast essentials to get going in the morning, which was greatly appreciated.. loved it there, although parking was a little difficult, had 2 handicapped family members, even though we had permitted parking across the street, parking was not readily available when we needed it…

We booked so we could attend a family wedding at the Cathedral. The beautiful house was brilliant for us in location, size (the house is like a tardis!), cleanliness & facilities. Lois was very quick to answer an questions I had. Was the cherry on the cake for our perfect weekend. Thank you.

Accommodations were perfect for our family as we each had an en-suite which was so convenient. Everything was clean and rooms nicely decorated. The location was ideal, easy to walk everywhere. Check in and communication with host was great! I highly recommend this lovely home. Thank you Lois!!

We’ll cared for and decorated house in perfect location in Salisbury. Location is also perfect for other sites in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This was one of our most enjoyable stay in all of our trips abroad.

Very nice house and location. Lois made everything extremely easy and she is a wonderful host! The location was perfect for our day trips into the country and the multiple restaurants within walking distance made dinner very easy. Plenty of room for six adults and the back garden is wonderful.

The house was immaculate, arranged very well, spacious and beautifully decorated throughout. We all loved it, and enjoyed our stay very much. We wish we had been able to stay for longer, but we were in Salisbury for a wedding and only staying for two nights. We’d definitely like to go back another time if we can.

The house is three stories and has plenty of room. It used to be a bed and breakfast, and the kitchen is the best appointed of any rental I have every stayed in anywhere. It would be possible to cook quite comfortably here just about anything. There is a really nice back garden to relax in. Everything is clean and comfortable and well decorated. It is on a busy street, so the front of the house gets road noise during the day. The street is quiet at night, and the back rooms were never loud. It is an easy walk to what you'd like to access in Salisbury. The owner provides a parking pass, so it's possible to park just across the street. This was a real bonus!

House was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed eating in the back garden. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating. The location is excellent - the one small issue being that the street is very busy and hard to cross. The city could be a little more pedestrian-friendly!

Fantastic spaces for all. Lois made us feel at home with all of the thoughtful amenities. Location is exceptional with its proximity to the cathedral and town centre.

Tragically I was unable to go on my girls weekend away due to Covid, however my friends apparently had a fabulous time despite this setback! Communication with the owner was great and very responsive, as well as flexible when we had to reschedule after the original booking was cancelled due to lockdown. My friends tell me the property was very clean, had everything you’d need, and a bit quirky (in a good way!). It was in a great central location so you could pop home for coffee midway through exploring Salisbury. The drawback of this is parking can be tricky, though I understand they managed to park on the road. Overall they had a fabulous time. I’m just sorry I missed it!

Location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from city centre and Cathedral. The property was brilliant, really clean, warm and perfect for a family break. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. Back garden is overlooked by flats but wasn’t a problem for us as it was too cold to be barbecuing!

As a group of old school friends - all approaching our big 50 - we have got into the habit of meeting annually in order to keep in touch and be reminded of why we've been friends for so long. 2020 created a blip in these plans and we missed our get together. But meeting at Lois' house in Salisbury was the perfect place to meet and enjoy good food and company after a difficult 18 months. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The house was a spacious place for six adults and two children to come together. We had a great time staying at the property which had everything we needed. The central location was perfect too, with both views of the cathedral and a few minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and shops.

10/10 doesn’t even come close to how beautiful this property is! So much character, exquisitely decorated & equipped with everything you could possibly need. From start to finish communication with the owner Lois was first class, thank you! Just a stones throw from the idyllic town of Salisbury, this property & location made the perfect weekend away!

Everything was great ! My sister could not open the window on the top floor, which made sleeping uncomfortable ( main road side, had been a beautiful hot day). Parking was easy and the city was a charming place.

This is a great house with quality furniture and furnishings. The communication with the owner Lois was excellent. All COVID precautions were taken and we felt extremely safe. The location of the property meant that the cathedral, town centre and river Avon are all within a 5-10 minute walk. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and at some point return.

We loved this property and it was great for a long weekend. The kitchen and garden were absolutely lovely. It is a very vertical house with several staircases - wasn't a problem for us but good to know!

This is a great, characterful property with a lovely garden (photos don't do it justice), a stone's throw from the beautiful cathedral and mediaeval town, while a short drive into the New Forest for anyone looking for longer (and easily socially distanced) walks. The meticulousness of the hosts with cleaning to make the property COVID-safe is exemplary.

I stayed in The Spire House on Saturday with my boyfriend and some of our close friends. We are all in agreement that it was the most perfect weekend away ! The house is right in the centre of town, so close to everything you need, we were able to park opposite the front door (all three cars) from check in time, with the permits provided, and prior to this we easily parked in a nearby car park that was very cheap. The house itself was spotless from top to bottom, the decor is fun and quirky whilst also being comfy and homely. We went on a lengthy walk Saturday then came back for a nice hot shower (each room had an en suite) then cooked dinner in the massive kitchen, which had everything we needed. There were also helpful little notes regarding where to put bin etc which was great! We were left tea bags , coffee pods , a few breakfast items and other essentials, which was a lovely touch. During these difficult times there was even a box containing masks and anti bac, in case required for going to the shops. The lounge room on the second floor has an incredible view of the lit up cathedral at night , a great place to sit and have evening drinks and play card games. The beautiful garden has a large table too, perfect for a family meal. The Cathedral is a short walk and well worth a visit. We were even offered 10% off at the nearby restaurant, which was delightful, my meat eating friends assured me had some of the best steaks they’ve ever had. The veggie options were great too. As a host, Lois is wonderful, she replied to all my messages quickly and could not have done more to help. There is nothing I would do to improve the property, nor the stay in general, only that I wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend staying here, a beautiful place and a great price too. We are planning on coming back ASAP!

A group of us wanted to go away for the weekend and staying in Lois’s home in Salisbury was perfect. The interior of the house was full of character and we loved it. All the utensils and resources in the kitchen were amazing. We made the most of the kitchen cooking a big dinner and breakfast. Location is perfect. Salisbury cathedral is so beautiful. We would definitely recommended staying in this home and we hope to come back!! Lois was great at communicating logistics for check in and everything was super clear and easy. We appreciate and could tell she wanted us to enjoy our time in her house!

This was a beautiful home. It was full of character, comfortable, tastefully decorated and spacious enough for our family of ten. The house had such a well equipped kitchen, which was particularly beneficial when cooking Christmas dinner in a place that wasn’t your own! We didn’t want to leave and hope to return . Thank you too to Lois who was extremely helpful in organising our stay .

The house is just so lovely. It's super clean and tidy, there is so much space everywhere, the kitchen couldn't have been any better equipped, it's wonderfully quirky in its decoration, and it is so warm and homely - what more could you want. I highly recommend this property.
