A lovely family holiday in a truly tranquil setting, yet a short walk to all amenities: the beach, the market, the boulangerie, and the suoermarket! A perfect home away!

We stayed for the first time on the island and we will come back.
One reason is the house we rented for a week. The owners welcomed us very friendly, showed us everything we need to know and live next door in case of questions. The house is in a good shape. Fresh flowers on the table - thanks! We could use the garage for our bicycles. In walking distance you find everything you need and the beach is great. We found no reasons not to re-book.

The house was in an excellent location close to the centre of the town. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The house was wonderfully furnished and spacious. There was a lovely private patio and garden. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We spent a fantastic week staying in this house on the Ile de Ré. The house is ideally located, really close to the shops and market in Le Bois. It is a fair walk (15 mins) to the beautiful beach, but we hired cycles from a plethora of nearby bike shops and this cut the journey to less than 5 minutes. The house itself is well designed for life on the Ile de Ré, with plenty of pleasant outside space. It is both very clean and very well equipped with secure off street parking for one car and plenty of easy storage space for the aforementioned bicycles. The internet connection was fast, unlimited and stable. The owners are very solicitous and keen to impress that you look after the house as if it was your own. We ended up having to bring both our sheets and towels, which was a bit of a pain as the advert had originally said that these were provided.
