Le Bois Plage En Re: house / villa - Le Bois Plage en Ré

We spent two weeks with our two children (13 and 10 years old) in this lovely house which is situated amidst a beautiful and very well-maintained garden. The owners live in the house next door and are a great source of information about the island in general and Bois-Plage-en-Ré in particular. They are wonderful hosts and we very much enjoyed getting to know them. But they will respect your privacy if you do not want to interact with them. The house is located about a ten-minute walk (or five-minute bicycle ride) away from the center of Bois-Plage-en-Ré where restaurants, bars, a post office, a pharmacy, a newsstand, the daily market and a grocery store (Carrefour Contact) can be found. The distance to some of the best sandy beaches (busy ones or quiet ones) on the island is about 10 minutes by bike. The house itself is well designed and styled, is well equipped and the living/dining room is light-flooded due to the glass door front opening onto the lovely patio. The patio is equipped with lounge chairs, a large table and two parasols. One can hear the nearby road traffic, but not to the extent that it bothered us in any way. Summing it all up, we can strongly recommend renting this lovely house. We look forward to returning soon.
