conveniently-located studio in central Lorient

Conveniently-located, central Lorient studio apartment. Small but OK for a few nights.

The only thing we didn't like was the smell of the towels and the sheets. It was either the detergent used or the fact that the towels and sheets were not dried properly, as a result of which, they smelled a bit musty. Not a fan of that sort of smell.

Had not known that apartment was so close to venues which were open very late every night and unbelievably loud making sleep unrealistic. Lack of comfortable seating.

Perfectly situated for easy access to the inter celtic festival and harbour area

Our room was 16 square meters big but very well equipped for that sized room. It was obviously recently refurbished with a nice contemporary feel. Lots of attention to detail and all living needs met. Bed very comfy. Small food preparation space allowed us to make simple meals and breakfasts - a two ring hob (no oven), fridge, microwave oven, kettle, coffee machine, enough crockery and cutlery for two Lovely spacious shower and a proper hair dryer - great for those of us who have a lot of hair! Washing machine and tumble dryer in separate room across the small private corridor. We felt very safe there and the best feature was its proximity to the Interceltic Festival - less than a minute from our front door around the corner to the festivities which is exactly what we wanted. Also 2 minutes walk to a well stocked Carrefour City to get fresh produce daily. Surrounded by many more eateries than you could hope for, so no need to cook too much back at the apartment. Designated car parking space available at the back of the apartment which was important to us.

We were disappointed that the apartment did not look like the red and white apartment pictured with the advert - we were really expecting something like that with a separate sitting area and it was a bit of a shock to the system when we arrived at room 6 as it was nothing like it - no light flooding through the big picture windows and no balcony. That picture should definitely be changed as it is misleading.

We were surprised when we got message saying that we will need to pay 300 EUR as deposit in cash (sorry, but nowadays we don't bring almost any money in cash and it would create us additional burden to find ATM etc.) . We just stayed for one night. However, finally we were not required to give any deposit as we arrived very late and we agreed that the key will be left in the key box.

L’emplacement

Appartement très petit et minimaliste avec lavabo dans la chambre. Liste de recommandations surdimensionnée par rapport à la qualité de l appartement. Un drap grisâtre avec des taches d’encre ; nous avons contacté notre hôtesse. Elle a répondu 10 heures après pour dire qu’elle savait que les draps étaient tachés mais qu’elle n’avait pas trouvé de produits pour les détacher et que les draps étaient propres.

C’était très bien. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut. L’entrée dans l’immeuble est très agréable. L’aménagement fonctionnel.

L’espace un peu réduit. La table est bancale. La sortie des restos et l’odeur de l’extracteur (et le bruit) du café Poutine (qui donne l’impression qu’on va manger des frites toute la soirée, voire la nuit….) Mais vous n’y êtes pour rien.

Bien situé dans la ville. Au calme.

Impossible de joindre la personne de l accueil au téléphone et pas de réponse aux mails envoyés pour savoir si nous pouvions laisser nos bagages avant l heure d accès au logement. Il a fallu utiliser le numéro d urgence pour que la situation soit réglée.

Un appartement parfait pour visiter Lorient et les alentours si les deux étages ne font pas peur

L'emplacement central prés de toutes les commodités. La facilité des formalités pour les clefs. Appartement clair, propre, grand, bien agencé et équipé, confortable et bien décoré. Bonne literie. Petit immeuble bien entretenu dans un ensemble en moins bon état.

Les deux étages sans ascenseur. Quartier animé à proximité un peu bruyant la nuit si la chaleur empêche de fermer les vitres. Portes intérieures ferment mal. Porte et Serrure WC très bruyantes. Un lave vaisselle aurait été bienvenu.
