Gilbert's Warrant

Really good location. Good facilities and garden. Comfortable sitting room and nicely sized property.

Bed was not very comfortable.

We spent a lovely 5 days here. Had a slight problem with a blocked outside drain maintenance came out straight away . Gilberts Warrant is a lovely house in a good location the only negative thing I would say is it need a lick of paint in some rooms.

Brilliant, central location for exploring Keswick — an easy, 5-minute stroll into town — and parking available on the street. All main essentials (bedding, towels, toilet roll, soap, crockery and cutlery etc) provided and the house itself was cosy and peaceful — after a long day spent walking the hills, it was lovely to come back to a warm, toasty house to relax.

Accommodation is over three floors and stairs to the upper level are pretty steep so not for anyone with mobility issues. The decor is a mixed bag — the main bathroom and bedroom are newly and nicely decorated, but some of the other areas are looking a little tired. Stair carpet is threadbare and unraveling in places, paint needs touching up on skirting and the lights could definitely do with being replaced — some were very dim and next to useless. Extractor fan in the ensuite didn't work and the rug in the lounge was covered in dog hair when we arrived, so needed to be hoovered.

Good location. Plenty of space. Dog friendly. Very good WiFi. Kitchen well equipped.

Some beds quite small. Cold have had more towels and toilet roll.
