Lovely and super comfortable hostel on the prettiest street in town! Highly recommended!!!

It’s a really nice hostel, with beautiful outdoor space and a pool. It’s perfectly located in the old part of town in possibly the prettiest street in Sao Joao! It’s very nicely renovated, beds were super comfortable and you could actually sit on a bottom bunkbed! Dorm where I stayed was very spacious as well. Breakfast was AMAZING! Such a big selection! And the Volunteers were the nicest people ever! Highly recommended!!!

I have just small remark for the hostel owners - it could be useful to rethink the early check-ins policy so that if someone is allowed to do early check-in - especially in the morning „rush hours” when everyone is waking up and hurrying to the breakfast or to leave, early check-in guests can use the communal bathroom in the corridor, not private bathroom in the room where they did not stay the previous night. When I stayed there in the morning, around 8:30 am after I waited in line for other girls from my dorm to finish theirs stuff in bathroom, I already had my towel in hands and I was putting my last shoe on to FINALLY go to the bathroom myself, suddenly the doors opened and some girl who did not sleep in the room entered literally running to the bathroom and pushing herself before me. She then blocked it for about 30 minutes. It is absolutely not the hostel fault that there was an uneducated and entitled guest (she should have knocked on the doors and at least look around to assess the situation) and I truly think it’s amazing they allow early check-in but since there is a communal bathroom in the corridor- this is what early check-in guest should be allowed to use. When it all happened I didn’t know who was the person who barged in to the room (I knew she did not sleep there) and I, myself couldn’t go to the communal bathroom because I have already left my washing bag and everything in the dorm bathroom. I literally just left it to put my shoes on. Again, not the hostel fault but could be useful to rethink this policy.

very attentive and accommodating staff. The hostel was a big rustic house, was beautiful, the rooms were big enough and private bathroom for each one. the breakfast was delicious and with a lot of variety to choose from. highly recomended!

Great place to stay

Very nice and pleasant hostel. Very friendly staff, beautiful facilities and lots of space, both in the dorms and in the beautiful bathrooms. Lots of common areas to chill and socialize. Great shared kitchen. Breakfast was ok, not memorable compared to other hostels, but still pretty decent. I very much enjoyed staying there.

I did not like the beds. The mattress is too soft, and it's resting on metal bars, not on a proper bedspring, which make them not so comfortable, especially if you are heavy. I decided to extend my stay, and since the hostel was full I was asked to transfer to another room, and slept in a single bed (not the usual bunk bed) which turned out to be super comfy, I loved it! It would be nice if all the other beds could offer the same level of comfort.

O quarto não é confortável. O banheiro do quarto feminino tinha muitas goteiras, ficando molhado em dias de chuva.

Dias maravilhosos!

Gostei muito dos dias que passei em São João del Rei, já é a minha segunda vez no Hostel Del Mundo. Paulo, Hugo e toda a equipe de voluntários sempre impecáveis, muito atenciosos. Tudo organizado e muito limpo. O café da manhã é raiz do interior de Minas Gerais. Café, pão de queijo, doce de leite, queijo, frios, pão de forma, pão francês, bolos, biscoitos, frutas, sucos, tudo fresco e de qualidade. A localização é ótima, próximo a todos os pontos turísticos, supermercado, restaurantes. Com certeza voltarei mais vezes.

Tolles ruhig und doch zentral gelegenes Hostel

Das Hostel hat alles, was Backpacker braucht! Die Zimmer sind geräumig, die Stockbetten bequem. Verschließbare, riesige Locker unter den Betten, saubere Bäder. Ein gemütlicher Gemeinschaftsbereich, gutes Frühstück (sogar am Tag meiner sehr frühen Anreise) mit starkem Kaffee. Super nette Mitarbeiter, toller Pool zum Entspannen. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt!

Eine Ablage insbesondere an den oberen Betten wäre toll, damit nicht ständig alles runterfällt. Das Kopfkissen mit seiner Plastikhülle ist eine Katastrophe, vielleicht hygienisch, aber darauf schlafen konnte ich nicht!

Hôtel 5/5, tout est parfait

Tout était parfait. L’emplacement, la piscine, le petit déjeuner et les volontaires présents qui ont fait de ce séjour à l’hôtel un séjour en famille. Mon meilleur séjour à l’hôtel jusqu’à présent, merci à celles et ceux qui étaient là et qui l’ont rendu incroyable.

A estadia foi muito confortável e localização previlegiada

Café da manhã simples e gostoso. Gostei muito do pão de sal e do café preto. Localização previlegiada do Hostel, perto dos pontos turísticos, dá para visitar tudo a pé. A área comum do hostel muito legal, piscina, redes, mesinhas, sofás. Voltaria novamente.

Custo benefício 8/10. As pessoas são ótimas!

As pessoas foram super receptivas, educadas, flexíveis e gentis. O local estava limpo, é confortável e é bem localizado na cidade.

Na descrição do local, estava como “fabuloso” então esperava algo com muita variedade e não foi o que encontrei. Claro que o que tinha estava gostoso, mas pelo custo esperava mais.

As pessoas foram simpaticas, o local agradável e animado

Era uma noite quente e so havia um ventilador no quarto, virado pra um unico hospede. Durante a noite muitos pernilongos incomodaram o sono, e a estrutura do quarto em si ne causou muito desconforto respiratório (as bandeiras no teto dão um efeito bonito, mas imagino que a muitos anos não são limpas, ficar em cima na beliche e proximo delas me causou crise alergica)
